Sonic is a bit like the aforementioned MLP in more ways than one.
Yeah, the actual official content has gone down the shitter but at least there's tons of porn.
I was about to ask if you are a furfag but already got my answer by looking at your pfp.

Is it sad that this is the only Sonic content I can enjoy?

Sad how laughing at Sonic and the fandom has gotten less entertaining in the past few years.

It's become a "same shit different day" situation.

Sega brings yet another shitty collaboration in their attempts to make Sonic a multimedia franchise instead of a games franchise

And, of course, as per the usual with Sonic. Fans somehow whip together something better in little time at all.

Wow, being a fan of this franchise sure is great I really love what Sega is doing we still have no games until 2022 I can't wait for origins to do some dumb shit like remove lives without an option to enable them again just like colors ultimate. I can't wait for the ubisoft towers in Frontiers.
I like how there's badly greenscreened in sonic stuff it's a soecial kind of funny shitty.
It's weird it starts out with a remix of popcorn and some other shit but there's actual SONIC remixes in there, much unlike the "Pokemon anniversary album" CD I saw in a store a while ago that instead of having actual music fromt he games just had vaugely relevantly titled mainstream pop songs. Completely worthless, that one.
Anyways, skip to 3:37 for the funny Hue music remix. It's actually pretty good in terms of matching with sonic Cd's vibe but I guess the comments section only heard the first few minutes?
EDIT: apperently a majority of it is unrelated music. understandable.

This is an isolated upload of the only worthwhile part of that concert. It's a decent remix/cover but weirdly the only 2 uploads I've found of it by itself are this russian sonic recolor one and one where the comments section and uploader seem to be troons shitting on it. Honestly it reminds me of some of the remixes that were on sonic GEMS collection. Both uploads cut off the loop/transition segment at the end unfortunately.

A Sonic Movie 2 trailer trailer will be revealed at the game awards tomorrow.

Along with that, there might be a Sonic Frontiers (aka Sonic Rangers/that one 2022 Sonic game) trailer but I don't think that has been confirmed by any official source.

---UPDATE---
The Sonic Movie trailer along with a Sonic Frontiers Trailer with The rumors about it being open world being seemingly proven.

---UPDATE 2---
GameXplain just uploaded a new video detailing some extra information.

First important part is how the game is worked on by Sonic Team Japan and headed by the dude who made Forces, Colors and etc.

And the second important bit of information is how the game's story is going to be written by the Archie/IDW Sonic guy, Ian Flynn.
I really hate what he did with IDW comics which doesn't feel like it's own universe like Archie or Fleetway but just the Sonic Universe with tons of extra stupid ocs added in.

And on that note, I think he added some interesting ideas into Archie like Scourge but the way that he actively demolished the old continuity to make it more like the games was pretty gay.

But who knows, maybe because he's actually working on a main stream Sonic game this time, it will actually pan out.

Sega is apparently hiring the writers from the Sonic Archie comic for projects and Frontier already has at least one working on it.

I mean if it turns out to be true that they can use the SATAM characters we may actually get a numbered sequel which hasn't happened since Adventure.

Ian Flynn is his name. I read some of the comics with his writing and it's not bad. Hopefully that means the story will, at least, be decent.

His work tends to be very edgy/melodramatic which as been his style since his first outing with Other M. (A Sonic fan comic)

My point is that the game is probably going to be very edge (which you can glean from the trailer already) but hopefully it's not half and half like Forces or incredibly melodramatic like how IDW can be.

I understand people wanting the characters for Sonic Prime or the IDW comics but the idea of including them in this game is too out there tbh.

It's going to happen obviously, Sega seems to want to forget about them as a whole but even forgetting that, including them in the first place wouldn't even make sense in the first place because this is a mainline Sonic and doesn't seem to have any multi-verse thing going on.

The past few years? The Sonic fandom hasn't been at it's peak in over a decade, long dethroned by the likes of Undertale and MLP. Frankly, it's a miracle the franchise is still as relevant as it is, especially after all that mediocrity.

Also i hope to god Frontiers is good, but it's concerning that we're less than a year off from ship and they don't have much to show for it.

Exactly. Sonic mockery peaked in the early 2000s when edgy OCs, Sonic 06 and "Ow the edge" were around.

Nowadays, while the cringy fan content is still there, it's about the same as it was back then. It's more hip to shit on Sonic these days because "Sonic was never good" and all that.

Doesn't help that most Sonic """criticism""" now is just monetised pandering. Egoraptor playing games badly because 12-year-olds think forced memes are funny will never be as entertaining as 30-year-old manchildren having autism fits because Sonic has green eyes.

There is some truth to this. A lot of post-Genesis/Mega Drive Sonic games do have a lot of flaws, but few are ever bad all the way through or outright unplayable. They may have gimmicks that aren't fleshed out, physics that are either too slippery or too stiff and stories that don't really add much to the game but they're at least interesting to sit down and dissect and a lot of them are fun to play on a basic level.

When people say Sonic games are bad (guilty of this myself at times) what I think they usually mean is they're disappointing or mediocre. I can't think of a single one I've played which was actually terrible (like E.T 2600 type shit).

People want Sonic to be great, so when we get a game like Lost World which would be considered fine enough without the Sonic name attached to it, people call it bad.

I think Frontiers can be good if they avoid 2 things and nail 2 things:

Don't make a big, empty, pointless, unfun world just to say it's open world (Breath of the Wild syndrome)

Don't add gimmicks (in the gameplay OR the story, keep it simple)

Make Sonic fun to control (Mario almost always feels good to control, movement itself is enjoyable; Sonic at his "best" is a slippery weird momentum monster, or basically a glorified auto runner)

Platforming should be the focus, not combat/collectibles/missions (I don't think there's a chance in hell they're going to follow this one)

Egoraptor is just a contrarian that likes to shit on things other people like with no valid criticism, even when he makes articulate points (i.e. his sequelitis videos). This is the same guy that get's almost everything wrong when it comes to anything Pokemon related even though he claims to be a "expert" on it. When it comes to Sonic, he obviously has a hate boner for the little blue furball and even anything sega genesis related.

How anyone can take this man seriously after the 15th billion "POOP, FART, DUDE WEED LMAO" joke is beyond me.
