Someone should point it out so they correct it.
I recounted, it's six strikes since one of them says, "almost naked".

Once again, they couldn't help mentioning Quiet at the end when talking about a controversy with an upcoming Fatal Frame game where they will be taking out some alternate costumes for the American release. So I finally asked if they think they're getting a little obsessed with the character and this is what someone posted: "No. It is still relevant as the game just came out in 2015, you know, the year we are still in? Now if Quiet was in a game, say ten or twenty years ago... it would still be relevant if the gaming industry still did the same pandering then as it does now. Besides, you should not need risque clothing to be a horror game/movie. Though I know slasher movies do love to show naked women, because it feeds into the notion that women are defenseless soft things that deserve to get stabbed to death -_-"

Except there's a secondary point to the outfit that for once makes some sense.

During the game, you get wet. A lot. Because you're in a flooded area.

Between a 'wet T-shirt contest' and just being wet in a bikini, what's worse, really?

[I might be saying stupid stuff, of course. I'm tired.]

something something not the character's agency to get wet something something

GOOD. GRIEF.

So one of the scenes involved is 'bikini model breaks down in depression after a shoot and hates herself', and the scene is censored in this case.

I think the only relief is that they didn't actually cut the whole thing, but damn. Is this really the same company that published Bayonetta not that long ago?

Their answer would be: "Buuuuuutttt Snake doesn't wear a bikini!!!"
No, he doesn't.

Dunno if it's real or not, but it's pretty amusing.

NoA is getting pretty schizo with their decisions but it makes sense since Bayonetta 2 attempted to reach to the core audience while this is a localization of a title that, if it was not because Wiiu horrible sales, they wouldn't bother to bring over. The crazy part comes if Nintendo truly thought that the media would have gone nuts about a digital only Japanese horror game having a teenager in Bikini.

Most people justifying the censorship are Nintendo fanboys or leechers that wouldn't have bought the game anyway (or buy it and bitched about in a TV Tropes entry)

'Oh yes, I am aware that it is 2015. No need to remind me like you apparently need to do with your usual acquaintances.' would be the correct answer to that.

I read this sentence trice, either I really don't get it or time travel is involved.

Huh, and here I was thinking that the reason for slasher movies showing naked women was 'boobs'.

They're trying to argue that it's irrelevant to argue that she isn't sexist because she is no matter the time period or whatever's going on. If Phantom Pain was released in 1985, it'd be used as an example of sexism in 1985, just like how they can't get over the fact that Peach is a damsel in distress in many but not all Mario games.

Speaking of which, anyone else thinks their only solution for Peach is to remove her completely from the setting and start over with a new Princess who saves the day from the Evil Mario Brothers and the Evil King Bowser?

Granted, it looks like the creator has pulled the game now. There was also a Zelda-based parody, but my Google skills are failing me. and you can play it here: http://thebestgamers.net/art.html

The only people that would be pissed off are those way too anal about how the characters would look. Others wouldn't really give a damn and some could just go along and try to mess with the person behind the image. Still, one could say this is racist because why isn't there an Asian person?

Somehow I'm completely unenraged. I guess I must not be white.

It's funny because the main thing I've seen people actually flip out about is so-called "whitewashing," and tumblrrhoids get so nuts they make death threats and crytype.

I've seen some of these PoC things on cringe threads, but those are for laughing at.

Because Asian folks are PoC only when it serves an agenda or is convenient, or so it seems to me.

So long as Asians aren't Republicans or something, then they're basically whitey. Even black people don't get to be "PoC" if they disagree with the usually hegemonically white masters of SJW terminology.

The sad thing is that I could see SJWs singing the praises of this game unironically.
Though if they made a black version of Rosanne, the modern SJWs would throw a fit over a family that is pretty much white trash being portrayed as black.

I think it's simply the fact that sjw now become enraged at the idea of white people existing.
