So there's a twitter thread where someone, mistakenly I believe, said Kyle 's mother is 38 accompanied by an unflattering photo of her, probably from outside the courthouse. This resulted in a bunch of aging pig-faced woman posting photos of themselves to demonstrate how an average woman like them is magnitudes more youthful looking, even at greater ages. And some gross, effeminate men too. These people genuinely seem to believe their camera filters or whatever and not realize they are ugly and old, objectively.

I rewatched the argument over jury instructions, and the state keeps saying Kyle "pointed his rifle at people for property crimes." Is that even unlawful? The jury instructions for simple provocation specifically say "an unlawful act."

The Wisconsin statute says

A person is privileged to threaten or intentionally use force against another for the purpose of preventing or terminating what the person reasonably believes to be an unlawful interference with the person's property. Only such degree of force or threat thereof may intentionally be used as the actor reasonably believes is necessary to prevent or terminate the interference. It is not reasonable to intentionally use force intended or likely to cause death or great bodily harm for the sole purpose of defense of one's property.

I read that as saying that while you cannot use deadly force to protect property, you can threaten to do so if you reasonably believe it to be necessary.

That's just the schedule that Schroeder gave them. The defense did use all of their allocated time in their opening statement while using material while Binger used none.

• There are "several" gun owners

• At least one who was personally affected by the riots
• 5/18 wearing a mask even though it's not required
