He's already used it but using it to execute an evolved form of tekkai debatably has justification, since his underwater movement technique was a specialisation of geppou. Having it be the Vinsmoke DNA is the more logical assumption but this being Sanji, in a chapter that also focuses on Cipher Pol stuff makes me suspicious.


As regards Lucci's reaction they're Cipher Pol Zero. Saying "hey guys be careful, these pirates are super dangerous" will likely get the response of "oh no, dangerous pirates. How completely new for us!" These guys are chilling out in the middle of all of this with the air of people who have seen all of that shit before and find it entertaining. They know Luffy and his crew are dangerous but much like when Cipher Pol showed up originally this is the level they're expected to operate at. Lucci's not telling them that for the same reason you don't back seat drive an expert driver. They know what they're doing and know the dangers involved.

I hope this is the case, I just don't think it will be, I think it is gonna be GemmaHax. At least..we will get Chopper Telling Sanji "WHO CARES IF YOU ARE A MONSTER" since Chopper dealt with that shit and embraced his Monsterness somewhat, It will be the best moment Chopper has had since the timeskip.

Yeah, but Lucci being on the Receiving end of "Luffy and the Strawhats can win against opponents that seem unbeatable, Do not make the mistake I did" isn't exactly "Pirates are super dangerous" if the context were different I would agree, but Lucci has personal experience with Luffy and it is foolish for an Intelligence Agency to ignore something like that.

Quite possibly. I'd prefer my guess but yours makes more logical sense for things so far.

If the Strawhats were still the sort of pirates whose crew could be rolled by a couple of Pacifistas that would be a necessary point for him to make. We're post time skip now, and not too long after the Whole Cake Island stuff. That info does not need Rob Lucci to state it, people at Cipher Pol Zero's level should already be aware of that. They've been there in both of the big prior arcs, they know the Strawhats are dangerous and have a tendency to beat the odds.

At this stage every pirate should only be assumed dead when they are ashes. Enough willpower to bite their way through a building is the norm now in the story, not the exception. Having Lucci give them additional briefing of something they should already be aware of, especially when they are operating in Kiadou's domain is just needless dick stroking for Luffy. To say nothing of the fact that these specific orders assume that Luffy can beat Kaidou. If he can do that it does not need a "this one time I fought him and he was really strong" from Lucci to stress how dangerous he is, being able to beat Kaidou says more than a chapter long speech from him.

In a novelisation I'd agree it'd be worth it. We don't need a chapter of HxH word count with flashbacks of Lucci's dealings with Luffy as well as prior times the crew has beaten the odds in the manga though. Maybe we'll get it as anime filler. In the manga I am comfortable with the assumption that they are briefed up to speed. Helped by the fact that Kaku is catching up on his nap on that call.

Luffy's word ain't going to be worth shit if he beats Kaido. No matter how the raid ends, the resistance is going to be wrecked to shit and no condition to fight anybody from the World Government; I'd bet money that they've brought along whatever the SSG whipped up to replace the Seven Warlords (and sicced on them) to make sure their "annexation" goes off without a hitch.

I've seen it thrown around that Sanji didn't feel like his body was acting up until after he started using the suit. It's possible the tech inside it activated something he believed it shouldn't have been able to (or quietly did something it wasn't supposed to). Either way he's gonna have to get the fuck over it and just accept the parts of him tied to Germa because there's only so much he'd be able to do before he reaches his ceiling. That the fight with Queen is when this shit is starting to manifest is nothing short of pure luck, otherwise he'd have been in just as bad shape as Zoro (which is going to get even worse after the fight with King, win or lose) was after the fight with Big Mom and Kaido.

Given they're threatening a Robin abduction again it would seem apt to have an admiral sent once more. And we've yet to see Ryokugyu properly.

Also I believe it will be a "liberation." Or possibly a "peace-keeping action."

Momo’s definitely going to cover for the Straw Hats as the Shogun of Wano, playing a public persona so they can escape under cover. Eventually, he’s going to team up with all the other Princesses Luffy has saved to create another front from within the WG when the great war happens.

Choppers final ultimate attack will be a replacement for the rumble ball that is equal to 1 billion cotton candy servings..and the sugar rush will allow him to move at the speed of light and he will fight Kizaru.

I think some of it is the joke of “this is a natural ability for this animal (i.e. pasta machine, helicopter mode, brachio-snake), what do you mean it’s weird?”
 
Chapter 1029 has been delayed.

Edit: Sorry, didn't remember seeing a break announcement at the end of 1028. That being said, episode 996 has been delayed.
