Nobody who's trans seems to be future-oriented; they seem to just live for the moment. They're already lifelong medical patients, but their dissatisfaction and unhappiness towards their appearances and bodies will only exacerbate with age.

I don't know if I've ever seen a geriatric trans person, the kind who transitioned young and then reached old age. I can't imagine the prognosis for being transgender in old age is in any way positive. It will be interesting to witness, to say the least.

Everything is so pointless. Two sides arguing about an imaginary problem that no one can agree a common definition of is just a war of attrition. Neither can become the victor when theyre facing away from each other screaming at something in their imagination.

I think engaging troons creates the problem. Fundamental biology is so self evident that it requires no advocate. By defending it we suggest it has a weakness that requires defense, and thats what gives oxygen to this whole thing.

Not sure what my point is but maybe suffocation is what im suggesting.

It may be self-evident to you or I, but considering how many normal, well-meaning folk tolerate the troonacy in the name of "live and let live" it may be necessary to point out the actual dangers associated with this entire movement. Don't forget that the ball is in their court when it comes to news, media and popular opinion - things that aren't so self evident like how damaging HRT and puberty blockers are can fall through the cracks. I don't think it's as easy as crossing our arms and saying it'll burn itself out when plenty of people live in fear of hatred and simply elect to agree with the easiest non-confrontational option to just say it's all fine when it clearly isn't and is damaging vulnerable people, especially young people and those already struggling with mental illness.

We're on the same page here. We are in a situation now that means allowing it to go unchallanged means allowing a self evident truth be redefined.

I suppose my point was largly philosophical because the horse has bolted. If we dont lock it back up, governments will give horses human rights on the basis that animal categorisation is an arbitary colonial social construct.

I dont think i could go to work and be managed by a horse while society condemns me as a bigot for asking my boss to stop eating hay at his desk.
 
well, this looks like one of the better ones i've seen and i still don't really understand what I'm looking at.

the fact these people go into this thinking the gaping holes are the same thing as a vagina still blows my mind. At least his doesn't have dramatic tears/pus oozing that I've seen from the GRS thread.
