According to the spoilers, Luffy will show off this week.

Did you long in after more than a year just to post that?

My definition of “showing off” doesn’t mean “anytime Luffy does something cool”, it means “making crowds surprised such a scrawny could be so strong.”

Well i logged in, then the idea came up lol.

1026 Spoilers
From redon
  • Chapter 1,026: "The Decisive Battle" (天王山).
  • Kaidou shoots his “Bolo Breath” and Momonosuke barely manages to dodge it.
  • Momonosuke bites Kaidou, who screams in pain.
  • Inuarashi and Nekomamushi lose their “Sulong” form because the clouds have covered the moon.
  • Luffy and Kaidou attack each other using Color of the Supreme King Haki. Their attacks do not touch but the impact is so strong that the sky splits in two.
  • Thanks to this the full moon can be seen again, so Inuarashi and Nekomamushi recover their “Sulong” form and defeat Jack and Perospero.
NO BREAK NEXT WEEK

Also I see @Trombonista is slacking on the birthdays smh.

she stopped doing it due to redundancy, and the fact that it seems every organic substance in One Piece has a birthday. Like that nameless, non-unique Sea King who bit Red-hairs arm off.

And the time to point out “Luffy showing off”, by the way, would have been the time he started wailing on Kaido, just for him to knock him in the sea (because guess what Luffy said when he finally started to damage Kaido).

And also neural/@Done, you were wrong. X Drake by this point has turned from The Beast Pirates, but Basil Hawkins is still very much devoted to Kaido.

Ye that was peak Luffy showing off lmao.

As for Drake/Hawkins, I'm glad that I called Drake right (he just had no real reason to hate the marines at all, they saved his life after all, and the way he got into the Beast pirates was far too.. direct to not have something behind it), but I did mess up on Hawkins, I should have seen it coming with his powers being more useful to a villain than a hero (it's essentially taking hostages)

Also I wanted to leave a doublepost so @Trombonista can merge it for old time's sake, but I guess the forum software got updated or something?

Wouldn't be surprised if Rosi was revealed to be an early SWORD agent or something..

Also why do you hate Rosinante? He's a pretty good character imo.

I don’t fully hate Rosinante, and frankly I wouldn’t have picked on him so much, if Law wasn’t such a disobedient naive fool. Him running into Vergo was one thing, drawing further attention to Rosinante was another. Corazon had already planned the escape.

I will forever maintain the true villain of the Donquioxte’s was Homing. Less than one hour in the “normal” world, he boasted about moving from Marie Jois (it doesn’t matter if that was “anime only”, Oda and his Editor always says the anime allows the story to include passages and panels that had to be cut from the manga).

Well, since you came back, today is Kyros's birthday.

I don’t think I ever teared up as hard as I did when I saw, I’m English, the moment he saved Rebecca from Diamanté. That whole “From now on” speech.

Also new spoiler

Orochi is still alive, of course.

I knew it. His Zoan is pretty similar to a Hydra, as far as I can tell.

HOLY SHIT THIS IS GOING TO BE AN AMAZING CHAPTER!!

Hey @Done, check out the full summary, I don’t see any showing off, I see a leader I have enjoyed seeing ever since he took things seriously for one damn minute after Rainbase, Alabasta.

Fuck Momo, you being the man right now.

But I have a very dreadful feeling that something isn’t right with the cliffhanger…

Weren’t we constantly speculating about a “tragedy” of some sort? Act 3 has to end soon, and I smell something funny.

I know nobody takes what I say seriously, but I will gloat so hard if what I think Orochi is about to do will happen.

Specify. Otherwise, whatever he does, you'll just says that that was the thing you were waiting for.

at the beginning of Wano, everyone kept hyping how it’s set up like a Kabuki Play. We are in Act 3, everyone kept thinking Act 3 is going to end in some kind of tragedy.

I think Orochi has Hiyori hostage, and the tragedy is going to be her abrupt death.

I hope I am wrong because I love Hiyori, and I want a framed painting of Zoro and Hiyori sleeping together in my bedroom wall.

I am resuming the show after dropping it for a couple of years. I came back right where I left off, at the time travel revelation in the Wano arc. While it's nice to have a new batch of content to binge, I totally forgot some of the more irritating idiosyncrasies of the show, like how a whole episode can just be 90% recap with five whole minutes of new footage, but I don't think I've ever seen an episode that literally just replays the last fifteen minutes of the previous episode like I am in episode 916.

One thing I like about One Piece as opposed to say, DBZ, is that where most manga protagonists start out struggling and steamroll the competition, usually with asspulls, Luffy crushed it all throughout the East Blue & went from tearing down the big bad & the institutions thereof by himself to struggling with fighting a chief subordinate of the big bad & running, to being flat-out curb stomped by the big bad. He couldn't stand a chance against Big Mom & stands even less of a chance against Kaido.

One thing that came up at the end of the Luffy Vs. Kaido fight was the Emperor's Haki since Luffy involuntarily used it while unconscious. I can think of dozens of times where the Emperor's Haki would've been useful during Dressrosa or against Big Mom's army of bullshit inanimate objects come to life. He used it once during the Fishman Island arc & never again until now. I wonder if Oda just forgot it or if it's deliberate.

I'm just glad we're only six months away from the end of Wano. Four years is too long for a single storyline.

They still have to defeat King, Queen and Big Mom, then its just Luffy vs Kaido and wrapping up the plotlines.
