As a side note, in most attractive urban centers in western Europe, main tenants can chose from a lot of applicants when it comes to renting rooms, because prices are usually high and there are always a lot of applicants, since there are always young people with limited funds moving to those cities. Unless he finds somebody who is so awful that he drove away all previous tenants, our "Qing" here will have little chance to find anything at all. Usually, it's the one who already has the appartment who's in the position to make demands, not vice versa.

Another thing I just saw is that as an alternative, he is looking for a wagon. By this, he probably means a refurbished construction trailer. Those are usually cheap, but living conditions are rather bad (especially during the long and wet German autumns and winters) and the parks they are in are often heavily regulated with a clear distributions of mandatory chores and tasks, such as cleaning and maintenance. (You can take the hippy out of Germany, but you can't take the German out of the hippy, after all). At the two places I know, showers are communal.,

You’ve been told there’s a whole world out there of people who will be your friend because they’re outcasts, and as an outcast, you can belong with them. Surely now the outcasts will see you, recognize you, wish to take care of you and let you be with them always, despite you bringing no value to anyone, ever. Because this person is writing a personals ad and hoping someone from the Polycule of Misfit Toys will airlift them out and bring them home and perform some combination of parenting them and dating them.

My first thought was chef knife maintenance. But that’s dumb as shit, too, because if you have enough knives to need regular maintenance and are handy enough to use them often and safely when that sharp, wouldn’t you already know how to keep an edge on them and own a whetstone?

That's how you know it's performative. Literally the only sense this makes is to look woke on photos or when people visit. It's not aesthetically pleasing and it doesn't make sense to have this hanging in a place where you will often see it. Except maybe if you wanna learn all their names and faces by heart for some reason. This is only a little bit less unhinged than plastering your wall in newspaper reports of killings like a movie serial killer.

The world is in a state but whats worse is that weve allowed every source of pleasure or distraction to be infected by performative shit like this.

Imagine your whole world falls apart because of illness, bereavement, or divorce or whatever and you desperately need to not think about it for a while.

Every film is trying to sell political values. Every computer game is trying to educate you about how terrible the world is for some people. You go to work and having to sit through a presentation about wellbeing, all the while knowing youll get sacked if you show how distressed you are. Every news website is trying to manipulate you, every doctor sees their role as agents for social change and no therapist is able to view your distress as anything other than a life long disability caused by a character weakness.

Is there any part of society not infected like this?

Edit: to answer my own question. Places like KF, while not perfect, exist for a reason. I would rather have authentically flawed people around me than performative puritans.

I've noticed this a lot with AGPs: while they say they dream of lesbian relationships, if you read between the lines what they really want is a mom who will fuck them. They're not happy with the male/female relationships they've had because they think being the male in those relationships involves too many responsibilities and demands. And yet they're not willing to even contemplate taking on any of the demands typically placed on women in relationships, they just want the constant unconditional love, support and validation that they think they deserve, because they're mentally toddlers (except much worse, because toddlers are cute and don't creep on people)

This "NB" person seems to be a female version of that, not so focused on sexual demands at least but still with the expectation that the world treats her like a beloved toddler. If she's really so disabled and has so many particular needs, don't they have group homes for that?

(I am surprised people here are calling her "he", do you really think any transwoman out there bakes for a hobby or talks about the concept of people being comfortable?)

Even odder is that the Mussulman responsible for the Pulse night club didn't even know it was a gay night club. That was just pure coincidence. But I don't think that fact is widely known, it's one of those progressive fictions, like the Matthew Shepard murder, that never really got excised from the public consciousness, because the misconception fits certain narratives so well.

I can't tell if this is a male troon or a female troon, but I'm guessing the later. Imagine if a man like this said they want to be around women because they feel safer. Sure, you can enjoy your knife collection when you are twice as strong as me in my house, my most intimate space. Also I'll give up delicious beef for you. :roll:

If it is a female troon then it's usually the case where chicks clock out of being female due to fear of being hurt by men (whether they had past experience or not) or buckle to the pressure of "women are the best but I'm shit so I can't be a woman." Either way, less physical worry if the case and more basket case worry.

The Mathew Shepard saga is a lie? I have been forced to sit through so many amateur dramatic fag group performances of this shit that I would feel personally slighted to find out that this guy wasn't killed for being a fag.
