Keep in mind that her original response was after she was sent a random DM in the middle of her stream earlier, so there was literally no way for her to have seen the clip or know the context outside of Merry himself describing it as "jokes" in the DM he sent her, and this most recent reply was made before any archives were uploaded (at least to my knowledge).

I can't stand listening to this guy talk either, but in this clip it seems like he's just trying to gush about Pippa to his big creator friends, and autistically missing a bunch of social cues. "You guys gotta check out this trailer queen Vtuber, it's hilarious when she talks about glowniggers and trannies!"

The fact that he can't tell how uncomfortable he's making them and just keeps going makes me think that he's not being duplicitous. The "I was just joking guys" is an obvious lie and a really bad one, so I think they overfilled his vaccines as a kid.

marimari_en's reaction to this would be hilarious because Merry also says she has trailer queen energy, but she played the violin and was in her school's model United Nations program.

It's an ad read. It's not made for people who watch them. I agree with pretty much everyone that it would've been better were they let off the leash but gacha game companies be stupid. At least it showed that they can be professional.
