My lib uncle was fretting about the LA shit to the point that I called him and had a long conversation laying out all the facts. He didn't know about the riots, how illegal immigration was at the core of the issue, and assumed Trump was just mindlessly attacking California because its a Democrat state. He's 73 and still gets hoodwinked by twink Democrat operatives on facebook. SAD!

A comment on Steve’s stream is saying that the Marines are on the ground, setting up control points after police clear a street. Sounds like made up bullshit.

They just want their dues. You don't have to be a citizen to join the union. It wouldn't surprise me if they promised to protect illegals from ICE if they joined the union.

I've heard a few anecdotal tales from people about how the SEIU was supposed to intervene on the union member's behalf for various reasons and just blew them off after taking their dues for years--skipping hearings, failing to file violation notices with OSHA, stuff like that. Stuff they're SUPPOSED to do on behalf of their members.

Also SEIU sued to force California's In Home Health Service (government funded) to force union membership on single-patient family caregivers because they claimed that their salary negotiations on behalf of the union workers also benefited the non-union family caregivers, tjetefote they should be forced to pay dues. Thankfully they lost. The SEIU is the worst union in the country, worse than the Teamsters even.
 
Good chance this footage is from the weekend but someone was selling hot dogs on the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles while people were standing in it.
