Let's be fair here, there's a high chance that any S2 console you buy at launch will have severe hardware defects, he's just following the old rule: one is none, two is one (now he just needs to buy a third one and store it offsite).

The white dad is basically forgotten and plays little to no role in any of the game. No cameo, doesn't even get explained how he died, just a headstone.

Are the developers discouraging race mixing by saying you'll become a footnote in your family history? Kinda based.

His defense argument for the price is halfway flawed because the issue is the games. What are we going to get for paying $80 for Mario Kart World, even? The open world is going to be bad. No one likes """massive"""" open worlds in multi-player only games. I'm looking At you Street Fighter 6.

It's not even that video games are a luxury, it's about how valuable they are. Fact is that video games are just toys, I'd gladly spend $600 on a good smartphone, even though that's also a luxury, because it's far more useful than a video game console. If I was going to spend tons of money on a hobby I'd much rather spend it on something like mountain biking that is actually a benefit to me other than just one more way to spend my time, especially since there are tons of games out there which are much more reasonably priced, and most modern games are bad anyways.

I forgot to mention this after the Chudcast, but it's dumb to assume that Nintendo Online Chat is going to allow you to connect to strangers. It's really obvious that you're going to need to be friends with the people you chat with on your Nintendo account.

Only select entities in Nintendo are doing that. The rest are deliberately promoting DEI, like Pokémon.

Sakurai can get away with it because Smash is essentially a golden goose for Nintendo.

Reminder: Nintendo still allowed some questionable choices done towards MARIO in the movie.
