Eh, I feel like the point of no return was with 2019. You could still find niche stuff that isn't trying to rip on western AAA games, and you could avoid most of the bullshit if you avoid lolcowlizers. Now, you really can't do that. Falcom is one of the few smaller developers that feels like they've mostly avoided that fate. Even the PS3 and Vita days felt less dire.

I have to wonder who those games are even for nowadays. Metaphor sold 2 million copies and yet nobody really talks about it in the same way with Persona 5 back in 2017. Shame Japan's independent scene is noticeably smaller than anywhere else, and mostly relegated to RPG Maker eroge.

The situation in Korea is pretty insane. Women there are literally going to get brought back to the fucking stone age level of rights pretty soon if they don't chill out. They've got a gender gap so extreme it makes our issues with foids look like a fucking joke.
