Introduction
Meet 46 year old Fighteer (powerword: John M. Aldrich). Fighteer is a moderator, and in stereotypical janny fashion, he loves to ban people and takes his job super serious. If you know anything about TvTropes, and especially if you’ve gotten banned from it at some point, chances are you know Fighteer.

TvTropes moderator
Not many TvTropes moderators are well-known and Fighteer is by far the most known. Not for a good reason though, because he takes moderating extremely serious and bans people for the most inane reasons.

A few examples:

Banned for criticizing Black Panther

Drama & dislike of the farms
Fighteer's hatred of the farm did not come from nowhere, there's been plenty of interactions between TvTropes and the farms. And being a mod who spends too much time online, he's no stranger to drama.

His personal grudge against the farms seemed to have started around January of this year.

It started because a slap fight between their users spilled from discord, into their mental health thread and the fine users in the tvtropes thread were laughing at it. And after the farms were namedropped

We were visited by one of them (x)

Later on, in one of the archived pages of the slapfight incident, one of their troons has their age and DOB visible (x), causing them to freak out

While futile, Fighteer tried to teach a lesson in cybersecurity (x). After all was said and done, Fighteer and his fellow jannies decided to outright nuke the mental health thread and ban everyone involved with the slapfight incident.

Presence on the internet
After doing a bit of digging, it turns out that mister Aldrich has been on the internet for longer than most. Not only can you find presence of him, dating back to 1997

Aw, you beat me to it! Anyway, I don't think he gives enough milk. All he does is bitch at unfortunates on TV Tropes, maybe occasionally sperging about politics.

Huh I didn't see any ED article. I looked up fighteer, but I guess ED pages don't show up through google (nor on tvtropes)

Yeah some Guatamalan kid. Maybe a bit moralfaggy but I didn't mention them because, you know, it's a kid. Plus, having a tvtropes moderator as parent is bad enough as is.

I agree, power hungry jannies are a dime a dozen, and I am not seeing anything that makes him stand out from all the other jannies, especially since we already have a TV Tropes thread in community watch.

Thanks, I added the link and archive to the OP and I'm looking through it now and adding stuff from the page.

As for if he's worthy of a thread, while many jannies are similair, he's been janny for quite a long time, plus an internet presence that goes back even longer, plus a drama queen. It's not just him banning people, he attracts drama aswel.

Either way, I'm adding stuff from the ED page, being such a god-complex janny for over 10 years, he has plenty of examples of comical or absurd behaviour. And the ED page has plenty of examples.

Well, he hangs out in the Jim Sterling thread, but you'll have to comb through the TVT thread for the screenshots and archives because some of the recent drama might be deleted by now.
 
He also celebrated the passing of an Supreme Court Justice because they were holding up a case that he really wanted to go through or something. I forgot the context, but everyone was giving him the hairy eye over it.
