I was looking forward to a rehab arc but goddamn, a vengeful drunk Ralph relapse arc is just as good.
Heā€™s definitely dying this year or early 2026 though, maybe thereā€™s a tiny bit of hope but I donā€™t see it.

So rather than having an adverse side-effect from drinking while on it, he's admitting to OVERDOSING and suffering basal ganglia lesions on his brain. If the drug is only to stop him drinking, why would he be overdosing on it? Makes no sense.

Or worse, they keep taking it and drink anyway, even though it makes you horribly sick and people have died from the interaction alone. The last thing anyone sane wants to give a total addict is something that can kill them if they take their drug of choice.

Even if his bullshit excuse were true (it isn't), all it would mean is he's such an utterly subhuman drug degenerate he can't manage not to deliberately overdose on an anti-abuse drug to get high.

I suspect he's still trying to quit while using dangerous medication that makes him sick every time he drinks. Even a little bit of alcohol on that stuff makes you sick drunk. In his mind this would still count as being sober, but also completely destroy his liver and insides. If he keeps that up, it would kill him faster than a xanax addiction

How long did he last, if we assume this was the first relapse since he "got sober", two months?

Ralph will never achieve sobriety long term, but I thought he had more in him than that.

Why even fucking try at this rate, just do the honourable thing and drink yourself to death.

Youā€™re right; thereā€™s literally 0 abuse potential for disulfiram. He might be lying and taking gabapentin or something, but either way heā€™s full of shit. Stuff like gabapentin alone doesnā€™t make you drunk dial hoes, thatā€™s all booze, baby.

(I do think the reason he came up with this bullshit excuse is he's such a hopeless case he actually did get Antabuse prescribed. That's how much of an obvious terminal alcoholic he is.)

It's *slightly* above 0. But given that this is the Gunt, compare the odds that an obvious alcoholic like Gunt, who has done the same weird things, like revenge calls, retardation, falling asleep on stream, otherwise being obviously intoxicated, compare the probabilities.

What are the odds when the Gunt does every Gunt thing he's always done when drunk off his ass, that he is merely acting in accordance with what he does when under the influence of alcohol, and that THIS SPECIFIC TIME, he was merely experiencing a weird and nearly unknown side effect of another drug intended to stop him from drinking alcohol.

Anyone but a literal retard will realize he was actually just drunk off his ass. He was not experiencing some incredibly bizarre, rare side effect of Antabuse. He just stopped taking Antabuse so he could drink again, then he drank again, and then we saw what we saw.
