LOL, so that's where the politician dress comes from.

I love that she can't help boasting that she "works with someone" there, where she actually means she bought the one dress they make that comes in plus sizes that might fit enormous men.

Here it is.

I have to say that even though it fits the model a lot less like a dirty sack than it does Wu, I'd be severely unimpressed if someone told me they spent 200 bucks on that. Just for added horror, here's the plus size model...

In this case, "someone i work with" means https://mmlafleur.com/bento

A fucking online "dedicated stylist".

Yet another podcast sponsoring tech-hipster business.

I'm so surprised.

Sorry I posted by reflex. I was in a state of shock. It was probably an overshare.

What are the cleaning instructions?

But it does mean I can answer this question.

Well, this is awkward. Now I don't know whether to apologise profusely for insulting your taste in clothing, or double down because anyone who has the same taste as Wu deserves it.

Not as awkward as it is for me. Not sure I can wear it again. And it was an expensive dress.

Well, that explains why Wu's dress is always filthy. He never factors in the total cost of ownership, whether it's a Porsche or a dress.

Oh my god, stop, I'm dying.
Is there any sense in which Wu actually believes these things when she says them? They're so patently absurd that even Wu can't imagine she's fooling anyone. Maybe the person she's fooling is herself, and in her head she thinks she's the incredibly stylish Alison Holiday who is the best at everything.

Gender related topics aside, John isn't even fooling himself. His entire persona, everything he does, and all of his thinly veiled grasps a fame and influence are evidence of this. John is a delusional crazy person enabled by Frank's salary, internet victim bucks, and an an echo chamber of ass patters and suck-asses who value group identity far more than objective truth. John is stuck in an addictive feedback loop that fuels his insanity. All of his endeavors are tantamount to shouting from the highest hilltop HEY EVERYONE LOOK AT ME I'M AN EMPOWERED SUCCESSFUL MOVER AND SHAKER purely as a means to make up for the fact that he absolutely is not. His value is driven almost entirely by the vanity of this this highly concocted, misshapen and broken cargo cult approximation of his idealized avatar. The people playing along in side-stepping reality are either too polite to formulate any convictions based on reason, too stupid to know any better, or have something to gain from it. John knows he is a fraud by almost every measure, but he is in far to deep to do anything but double down. This has little to do with John being trans, and everything to do with John being a treacherous con artist for his entire adult life.

I'm sure it'll look much better on a woman.

How could you overlook such an IMPACTFUL! blog?

Oh Jesus, her avatar picture from the campaign video. I had almost forgotten. It gets me laughing every time. The background is a combination of dust caked figurines and a tattered American flag. And the moron who hung the flag pieces couldn't even space them correctly. The subject is some kind of alien trying to approximate a twitter feminist. Everything is so perfect. Who thought this was a good idea? I know it was John, the question was rhetorical.

Would you theoretically plan on paying each of them $226.50 each per year for their services, John?

The return of the heart-dotted i's, the mark of a truly serious (and definitely female) candidate.

I mean of course the syphilitic @RepStephenLynch is not going to waste his fucking time fighting for women's rights on the Twatter, he's too busy spreading his TOXIC MASCULINITY via his favoured bloodsport of choice. Pitch ball? More like swing a baseball bat at a pregnant woman and show her exactly what "pro-choice" means, am I right?

I wouldn't worry. The dress itself is fine. It's actually a contemporary, tasteful outfit. If you look at the primary model, it's worn as a knee length number that looks like it could be paired with a blazer in the office during the day, or worn without the blazer for cocktails or to dinner at a trendy downtown bistro. Even the bigger gal in the second photo seems to be solidly in the "acceptable use" range.

John's dress is filthy and its several sizes too short for him to the point it looks like a crotch length mini-dress. My guess is that he either ran it through the wash exactly once and it shrank because he doesn't know how to take care of nice clothes, women or otherwise. Or they just don't make a size gigantic enough for someone 7' tall.

Naw, wear it with pride. Plus it’ll always look better on you than it’ll ever look on Bribri, so go for it. ;)

JFC I have that dress.

The usual way to handle stuff like this is to never let the lolcow ruin any experience for yourself if you enjoy whatever it is for a perfectly normal reason otherwise. Thus food, clothing and shelter are the most broad based safe harbor areas of life when it relates occasions like this. I'm sure the dress looks nice when it's clean.

I was going to make the autistic objection that you'd never seen @Kroster and hence couldn't be sure, but then my brain caught up with me. The dudes from Duck Dynasty could rock that dress better than Brianna does.

For real I'm not offended. It's kind of funny. I'm still laughing at "sometimes we all need a gentle scrub down" which is really what the care label says.
