There has to be more to it than that, unless mom's reason for not letting her post v& material was because she was too fat and could do it if she lost weight or some shit. I know it's lazy armchair shit to see someone act like her and say she was probably molested but she does tick the fucking boxes (edit - ninja'd on that one, what did I tell you). But I'm banking on severe brain-breaking personality disorder being the driving force here.
 
It's still her mother's fault for allowing her to go this far.

Parenting is also slapping (even metaphorically) you back to your senses if you do stupid shit.
 
We all love to armchair, and I’m an offender myself, but sometimes people are just born shitty. Look at Russell Greer. No amount of slapping can fix broken.

I think Ashley is just shitty. A thin piece of diahrrea maybe, but shit nonetheless.

It looks like she was already quite thin in the first pic if you look at her neck and the width of her shoulders, she just had massive chipmunk cheeks. I guess that’s part of why they are so dramatically sunken (even by anachan standards) at her current weight.

To be fair, one should give any f.o.u.r.t.e.e.n. year old girl a break. They get their adult curves and proportions a lot later, at least the normal ones.
Shit hit the fan only when Ash-Chan started to "punish" her mom. Before that she was a teen like any other.

I've always wanted to ask her if she finally realizes her mom was completely in the right to stop her from prostituting herself as a teen or if she's STILL buttmad about it. I can't remember what exactly, but she's said a few things that make me think she still doesn't see what she did as wrong.

she's anorexic b/p subtype. she's got a laxative addiction and vomits regularly, always has. the anorexia came along later. early posts from her showed the damage to her teeth and mouth more clearly, and I don't doubt she still purges.

back in those days it was all puking, I would guess. the chipmunk face, swollen glands and busted fingers give it away. even then she was on the path. her posting herself online was part of it, not the cause.

You can only do so much once they refuse treatment.
I grew up with a friend who's older sister was an anorexic and her parents tried everything from treatment centers and even a feeding tube multiple times. She would try to rip it out and even had to be home schooled so she could be watched constantly. It tore the family apart and as soon as she turned 18 she began to refuse any treatment with her parents even trying to get her declared unwell so they could get her into treatment but it didn't work.
She did not last nearly as long as Ashley and ended up being told to leave her home because she kept harassing her younger siblings to the point her sister developed an ed.
I think she was about 21 when she died (cant remember). Occasionally I saw her parents around but they just became shells of their former selves.
