Aaron Michael Imholte (born December 24, 1986, 37 at the time of writing) is the disgraced former radio host hailing from the small city of Saint Cloud, Minnesota who thinks he’s very cool.
Imholte was host of the Steel Toe Morning Show on WHMH-FM Rockin’ 101 for six years from August 2014 until he was forced to resign in 2020 for encouraging harassment of a rival radio host. Following his firing, Imholte took his show to Twitch (since banned), before decamping to YouTube and Rumble where he spends most of his shows begging for money from viewers in a more whiny tone than DSP and more obnoxiously than Ethan Ralph.
Aaron is joined by a revolving door of underpaid cohosts….
Including his second wife April Imholte, until he chased her off with his rude behavior on the show. Aaron's treatment of her on the air was especially poor given not only that he married her in Vegas but that she also supported him after he lost his radio job and also after he got beat up while pretending to be a boxer. April stopped appearing as a co-host on STMS in April 2024. Aaron insisted they were still together until May 13, 2024, when he announced they were getting divorced.

Aaron’s developed contacts with a veritable who’s who of Internet personalities such as *checks notes* Nick Rekieta, ReviewTechUSA, and Mersh. Imholte remains obsessed with Anthony Cumia and his Compound Media crew, and has built ties with Compound Media personalities Chrissie Mayr and Geno Bisconte, but there is no reason to believe Cumia himself knows of Imholte’s existence.
Imholte is mainly known for involving himself in the "Dabbleverse", the online community similar to "the Sektur" except instead of revolving around Ethan Ralph it revolves around John Melendez, better known as "Stuttering John" from the Howard Stern Show, and which seems to consist of streamers who think of themselves as comedians or radio show hosts (or both, in the case of Aaron Imholte) insulting each other. Steel Toe gets laughed at by everybody, including his own dedicated subreddit (/r/SteelToeBoringShow)
In a possible attempt to curry favor with Cumia, Imholte introduced a SUPER EDGY recurring bit, namely a doll named "Shaka", with accompanied exaggerated accent, as a recurring bit on the show. However, Aaron eventually became uncomfortable with that level of racism on his show, inexplicably and suddenly changing the doll’s character on the show to have a British accent, confusing even his co-host who pointed out the doll "wasn’t British last week!". Aaron later dropped the doll bit entirely and recently said on the show that the doll was a bad look "if we’re trying to do the radio thing", offering to sell it to a paypig for $200.
The below clips were taken from the /r/SteelToeBoringShow subreddit and are not in chronological order (except for the first clip where he offers to sell the doll, which is recent):
While Aaron Imholte may read his subreddit, he claims to be UNABLE to figure out how to browse the Kiwi Farms and find threads that he wants to read, which he blames on his "millenial boomer" status.
At one point he referred to his fans as "The Toe Boys", for example in the below Tweet, but may have dropped this nomenclature when he realized how cringe it sounds.

AARON’S RADIO BACKGROUND

Aaron Imholte was on small radio stations for years in central Minnesota. He started with Aaron in the Afternoon on KLFD, a radio station in rural Litchfield, MN, and after a brief stint in Willmar, MN he landed doing a morning show at WHMH-FM Rockin’ 101 in Saint Cloud, the Steel Toe Morning Show.
Aaron still hasn't gotten over his radio days, since his new (as of May 2024) backdrop features a framed photo of himself with accompanying plaque engraving. The photo appeared in the Litchfield Independent Review in May 2014, back when he was on the real radio on the Litchfield station. (Archive)

Why are they always obsessed with wrestling?
(from the above-linked Litchfield Independent Review article)

Imholte must have been born to do radio since while he was a radio host from an early age, he already looked like a stereotype of middle-aged radio host. The below picture was taken in 2014, not long after he started at Rockin’ 101, when Aaron was just 27 years old:

Imholte also uploaded his first videos to the Steel Toe Morning Show YouTube channel during this time, such as the below cringe video where he dresses up as "Benton County Batman"
His divorce papers suggest Aaron made $6,166 per month at Rockin’ 101 as of 2019, or $74,000 per year.

Aaron Imholte left radio in disgrace after calling a rival radio host fat:
Aaron Imholte’s tenure at Rockin’ 101 came to a crashing halt in 2020 when he was forced to resign for directing harassment at a rival radio host who had gotten a job he wanted at KAZR in Des Moines. He dedicated a show to attacking her and called on his listeners to spam the radio station’s Facebook page with false claims to get her fired.

The Iowa station, KAZR, uploaded the following excerpts of Imholte’s unhinged lunatic meltdown on their Soundcloud page, archived locally below:
This is the woman he lost his job over calling fat:

Aaron Imholte posted a resignation letter apologizing for the incident, but the post was quickly deleted, and he continues to whine and be bitter towards Rockin’ 101 to this day.

When leaving WHMH, Imholte retained ownership of the Steel Toe Morning Show name. He continued his show which had already been restreamed on Twitch, later moving to YouTube and Rumble after being banned from Twitch.
AARON’S BORING SHOW
Aaron’s show consists partly of oversharing his personal life, partly of riffing on articles taken from a small number of sources (mainly "Not The Bee"), partly of trying to gain clout by inserting himself into drama, but mainly of begging. As of right now, he streams for four hours from 6 to 10am Mondays to Friday and 7 to 9pm Sunday to Wednesday (all times Central US time), with the Sunday show being exclusive to paid YouTube members.
Imholte’s begging consists of a goal for donations for each show where Aaron will stream for OVERTIME if he makes the goal, setting his goal as net tips after platforms take his cut, he will literally pause the show and announce what the net amount is before going on with his show. He will also keep a running tally of previous days’ missed goals and continue begging until past goals are met, even after meeting the day’s goal.
But be careful… If you want to give money to Aaron using methods he doesn’t prefer, he MIGHT lose his shit. In the below audio recording (taken from the r/SteelToeBoringShow subreddit) Aaron seems to have been driven to the point of screaming at fans asking to donate through Twitch hype trains rather than Paypal donations.
He threatens to BAN anyone with the audacity to ask to give him money using disfavored methods, even moderators!
Like DarksydePhil, Aaron will also scream at you and threaten to ban you if you DARE to use his live chat to discuss things that he deems off-topic.
He demanded that the user type an apology in the chat, later screaming "IF YOU'RE NOT TALKING TO ME, SHUT THE FUCK UP! HOW'S THAT?"
The few times where Imholte’s show was not boring came after Imholte brought on his second wife April on as a cohost. In the alleged below Facebook screenshots taken from the SteelToeBoringShow subreddit, Imholte blamed sponsor attrition as the reason for the change, saying that their money was what was paying the second mics. Imholte had continued to try to get local businesses to sponsor him even after the shift to exclusively online streaming.

The on-air interactions between Aaron and April were full of drama as their off-air life clearly spilled into their show and the two of them bickered while live, such as when April left the Steel Toe Morning Show in tears on February 8th, 2024 (clip in linked post).
The most infamous dispute between April and Aaron occurred in June 2023 when Aaron read out an article about couples sleeping better after sex. April responded that Aaron passes out right away, but she doesn’t, right before Aaron read out the part that the impact was only detected "when someone experienced an orgasm, which makes men more likely to experience the benefits of pre-sleep sex," to which April responds: "Right."
This causes an argument where Aaron insists April has "a nice little orgasm" "every single time", which April denies, much to Aaron’s chagrin. He correctly predicts that the result of this exchange would be people online saying "AARON CAN’T FUCK", which is the case to this day, since this is brought up time and time again.
Someone immediately called in and asks April the tough questions: "His dick is trash April? You married that and his dick is GARBAGE!?!"
Unfortunately, the truth was Aaron had misled April near the start of their relationship, as it turned out that he had taken "boner pills" before having sex with April. April says "you ruined my sex life with you for the rest of forever because I didn’t know you had boner pills. I’m like, oh, wow, is this how this guy fucks?"
As a Steel Toe fan, she ONLY learned the truth when Aaron openly talked about it on his radio show!

AARON'S SECOND WIFE FLIES SOLO?!
In April 2024, after a short hiatus following an evening show entitled Can April Fly Solo?! where April started the stream by herself, Aaron confirmed that his wife April was leaving the coveted STMS second chair role for good. Aaron claimed that it was due to negative online attention. "She doesn’t want to go back to the meanness," said Aaron, who was trying to blame the Internet instead of himself when everyone could see him being rude to his own wife/co-host and being more rude to other people he causes feuds with for drama.
Little information was given after April stopped appearing on the show. Aaron vehemently denied that they had split, but she herself was not active online after her departure from the show, and Aaron was the only one making statements about the situation. Aaron briefly courted speculation about the state of his relationship when he self-diagnosed himself as a narcissist, saying he wanted to work on his personality, but he later announced he had figured out he was in fact not a narcissist.
One of the only sources of online activity was April Imholte’s "Karaoke" YouTube playlist, which Steel Toe detractor Patrick Melton revealed had been continued to be updated throughout the drama. Melton posted to Twitter with the full list of songs and the exact timestamp (in UTC) that they were added to the playlist.

The mystery about April’s situation deepened later in April 2024, when April failed to appear at her April 23 court date over a minor traffic offense. She had been ticketed for going 9 mph over the limit.
In May 2024, Aaron responded in fury to a caller requesting information on April’s whereabouts, given that she has not been seen online for some time. Asked directly if April was still living in the family home, he stammered "Of course, like what the fuck?" Aaron then expressed incredulity that his fans were interested in what the fuck was going on and demanded that they "chill out on people’s personal shit", despite the fact that she was a long-time co-host on the program and the Imholte family "personal shit" was a main focus of their show.
The following week, on May 13, Aaron announced that he and April were getting divorced.
AARON’S FEUDS
Aaron’s strategy to generate buzz and attention for himself has been to try to start feuds with other content creators. In 2022, Aaron went hard to try to cement himself as a DSP detractor. He even brought on ReviewTechUSA on as a guest:
Aaron also commented on Twitter, bizarrely claiming that DSP was referencing Steel Toe in his stream when he referenced "drama queen pieces of shit on YouTube".

Aaron’s Dabbleverse feuds are numerous. His most notable rivals are Patrick Melton of the Nobody Likes Onions podcast, with a 21 hour long playlist looking into STMS before continuing to cover Aaron’s shows in detail.
The most vicious feud was with Chad Zumock, who Aaron ludicrously described as one of his "lolcows".
The feud with Chad got nasty as Chad brought up Aaron’s family, his first wife and his children with his first wife. As a result, Steel Toe Morning Show distanced itself from drama. After April left the show in April 2024, Aaron finally admitted that it was April who had demanded that they stop participating in drama.
AARON’S FAMILY DRAMA
Imholte’s first marriage to Ashley Maciej in September 2012. The engagement notice is archived here.

In January 2019, Aaron filed for divorce from Ashley while she was pregnant. They already had 2 children at the time. The divorce was finalized in March 2019. The specific circumstances of the divorce are unclear.
Ashley is a children’s book author who had the honor of having one of her recent books promoted by Chad Zumock:.
In December 2022, Chad Zumock claimed that Aaron cheated on his first wife Ashley while she was pregnant:
While this claim from noted comedian and podcaster Chad Zumock is unconfirmed, what makes this claim from Chad interesting is that both Aaron and April were later CONVINCED that Aaron’s author ex-wife was in contact with Chad Zumock. In February 2023, amid rumors that Aaron would sue Chad for defamation, Aaron Imholte announced his suspicion that Ashley was directly feeding information to Chad. It is unclear what Chad had precisely said that caused this, but Aaron said: "I’ll come out and say it: the ex-wife has been feeding defamatory, untrue information to Chad."
He added: "the gloves are off now."

April also said the following things in the chat:
Whether Chad Zumock was correct in his claim that Aaron cheated on Ashley while she was pregnant with their third child is unclear. However, on his show, Aaron Imholte admitted to being a serial cheater, and cheating on his partners with as many as 7 different people over the course of his life:
According to Aaron himself in February 2023, he was effectively disowned by his parents at some point during his relationship with April. He admitted that he had been yelled at by his parents on the day he got engaged and that his father told him that "you shouldn't allow this person - meaning April - around your kids," though he didn’t explain their reasoning for saying that. Aaron explained that although he does not have any contact with his parents, they maintain friendly contact with his ex-wife Ashley, the successful author, who graciously allows the children’s paternal grandparents the time with their grandchildren.
On the evening show of March 26 2024 Aaron took thinly veiled shots at Ashley on the air using the codenames "cousin" and "Crowder". He ludicrously implies that Ashley is not a real author even though her books are actually published by real publishers while Aaron pretends to be a radio host from his basement. The below clip was taken from Reddit:
In a curious incident, from the evening show on April 8th, 2024, Aaron later appeared to admit that he had previously made reference to his ex-wife Ashley when discussing "Crowder" and making "Crowder analogies", saying he "got a letter" over the matter. Even more curiously, Aaron muted his mic to tell his co-host something, leaving the camera on. Aaron remarked to his co-host that "You’re laughing at something that they have no idea why it’s funny," adding "I can’t legally say the funny part [...] Do you want me to spend the fucking night in jail? Is that what you want?"
A possible, but unverified, amateur lip reading of the muted portion is added in blue below:
"By the way, let’s not talk about Crowder or make any Crowder analogies, I don’t want to get a fucking letter again, Jesus Christ. [You got a letter?] Oh, I got a letter. ? From Ashley’s lawyer. Said we were talking about them. ? Which I - which - which, which, which by the way I was, I tota- I 100% was, but, you know. I thought I was being subtle."
It is worth noting that at the time of the divorce in 2019, neither Ashley nor Aaron had restraining/harassment/protection orders:

Aaron has racked up several traffic citations over the years, including two separate speeding tickets within a few days of each other on February 17 2024 and February 19. In one of the citations, it is mentioned that "THERE WAS AN HRO IN PLACE FOR THE RO".
While the Steel Toe detractors on Reddit missed this information, it was noticed after it was learned that April was being represented in her own speeding ticket case by Nick Rekieta in April 2024.

Note: according to policy, information on HROs (harassment restraining orders) do NOT appear in the online system to view Minnesota court records. Therefore, it is impossible to verify whether Ashley obtained an HRO at least when using the online system, though it's unclear otherwise why he implied he would have to "spend the fucking night in jail" if he openly talked about his ex-wife.
Given all of the above, it is surprising that the disgusting shameless Aaron Imholte still discusses Ashley and even states that he believes he is still in possession of a sex tape with the two of them. The below clip was from Aaron’s evening show on April 29, 2024 however he subsequently privated the stream on YouTube.

AARON ALSO LOSES IN THE BOXING RING
(in addition to losing to Chad Zumock)
Aaron is also an amateur boxer who positions himself as a tough guy as a result, but his record across two bouts is two losses.
Aaron’s record is listed on the Saint Cloud Boxing Club website:

(Archive)
Aaron’s first loss, on February 26, 2022 was a TKO to Ronald Buck, 0:52 into the first round, who uploaded the below footage of his easy victory.
Buck was less than impressed with the quality of his opponent, adding alongside his footage of the fight that "Boxing is a real sport. Do not step in there if you have not put in the work."

Aaron’s second loss came in June 2022. I believe he may have lost to a high school student because there was a high school swimmer in Detroit Lakes with a similar name and news articles mentioned he started boxing, but I can’t verify that.
THE NICK REKIETA CONNECTION
(Aaron cooks SpaghettiOs for Nick Rekieta's children)

Aaron and April became friends with Nick and Kayla Rekieta following a standup show hosted by Aaron near St Cloud in October 2023. By December, Aaron and April were spotted streaming from Nick Rekieta's home.
Discussion about the Rekietas and Imholtes reached a fever pitch online in January 2024 when STMS streamed the 4 of them in Nick Rekieta's hot tub. Nick Rekieta was seen drinking even though he had declared the month to be "Sober January" and there were jokes about swinging. Aaron even appeared to GROPE Nick Rekieta live on air!
Aaron continued his friendship with the Rekietas and his entry into the Balldoverse attracted the attention of Rekieta detractors, especially after the Imholtes went back to stream at the Rekietas' and a STMS donor paid to have Nick parade himself shirtless on stream, with Nick appearing to come close to licking Aaron's face.
Aaron even admitted to cooking "cans and cans" of SpaghettiOs for Nick Rekieta's children. He said that they come up to him to ask for food because "everyone" except him is "everyone's bu-- they're off doing something or they're busy or whatever".
Nick Rekieta's association with the Imholtes was professional as well as personal, as he filed paperwork to represent April after she received a minor speeding ticket. However, Nick Rekieta and April no-showed an April 2024 pre-trial hearing over the matter (see above spoiler "April's April 23 pre-trial hearing no-show" for a clip). While there was a 10-day grace period to explain the circumstances justifying the failure to appear, neither of them turned up for that either.
In May 2024 Aaron admitted that he had gotten "distracted" due to his new friendship with Rekieta, and that both their shows suffered, and that Rekieta had cancelled shows because he preferred "hanging out and having a good time" with the Imholtes.
