I thought Lou had an (American) mustard-yellow room, with a bare mattress stained tan on top of the stack.

Maybe the kid is getting a new mattress stack, as is Gagliardi custom, and Lou decided to take a photo of it in the hallway because he thought it looked sadder. I could have sworn Lou's nest wasn't a twin.

This is Louis's room from about seven or eight months ago. I originally went to this image just to check if he doesn't have bed frame; lo and behold, he doesn't. But I noticed something else.

This nook for the door (which I just noticed has a massive hole punched into it from a tardrage session) matches up with how Louis maneuvers his room in this video. So this is his room.

There's two discrepancies, though. The most obvious is the floor, which has swapped from a disgusting linoleum from the 90's to a dark wood floor. The second is the walls, which went from a piss-color with white accent trims to a solid white with no accent trims.

Which means that his cruel, heartless parents went through the time, money, and resources to fully renovate Louis's room, most likely doing all the heavy lifting for him since he can barely summon the strength to flop out of bed most days. That's the only reason why his room is even clean in that picture. So they had the money and willingness to help him for this financially and physically straining task, yet we're expected to believe they told Louis "no" when he asked for a bed frame.

I'm not sure it is the same as the Yellow Room. They're similar in layout, but don't seem completely the same--it could just be design elements that rhyme, being part of the same house.

I get the feeling that leaving his room is always a big deal for Lou; there's no way he wouldn't tweet about having to double up with his nephew or something during the repainting and the floor installation. God forbid someone asked him to pitch in with the work.

(And after you painted, which is a hassle, and had some guys in to install a floor, which is expensive-- once you had a nice-looking room, why would anyone let Lou back in?)

That photo does prove it's Lou's same pile o' mattresses, though.

Conspiracy theory: what if Lou already got a new bed and this is a photo of his old bed in the hallway, on the way out the door to the dump? He saw an opportunity to grift the price of a video game by claiming he needs it to buy a bed, and he'll show photos of the one he inherited as proof.
 
Lou fully admits that they're going to overshare this to, i'm assuming, purchase a $75 IKEA bedframe. If it is this specific one I fully expect them to start grifting for the delivery fee because IKEA's delivery fees are expensive ($99 for that particular zipcode as they only offer room-of-choice delivery for some reason) and it's not in stock at the Pittsburgh IKEA.
Either that or it's another Amazon delivery.

The floor is probably more linoleum in the design of wood. Source- have lived in a house that had this. I am genuinely surprised he didn't complain about anything though. Is he learning to not overshare?

I will point out his claim that he went "walking around in 90 degree heat" the other day. It struck me as very wierd, there is no way he did this (if he's not just lying) for no reason. I concur that this is a new room, unless he has two doors. I guess he could have a closet though. The white wall door is in a nook but the yellow wall door is on a regular wall.

The other thing that would line up with his leaving the house so his disabled parents could do all the work is he did not complain of being terrified of his cursing and swearing stepfather. Moving furniture and doing any sort of renovating always involves swearing.
 
It's possible Lou didn't complain about the remodeling because it's hard to grift. "Wah wah my mom is remodeling my room please give me money" just doesn't have the ring to it.

Since those are less then 2 months ago and considering his room is "clean" for once, seems like a very recent renovation now maybe we are missing the point here, probably moma gags reformed the house to make it more appealing to a potential buyer?

Edit: maybe she sold the house to a "house flipper" and now they renovated the house? The homeless saga might be around the corner!
