Dork Of Ages is exactly right. When I created the thread, it was crude and unedited and full of typos, on top of it being too long for people to care. The reception was lukewarm at best, until Devi showed up. At first, it was pretty surprising that Devi would actually try to jump into the Kiwi Farms community (and fucking EDF, of all places), but you have to remember that shitposting is one of Devi's major passions in life (including lying, being trans, guitar pedals, Smashing Pumpkins, indie pixel-style art and gamedev, twitter drama, and crowdfunding fraud). She will jump into any community, try to stay long enough to be accepted, then sell her pedals or plug her crowdfunding campaigns and/or Patreon. I suppose getting donations makes her feel pretty invincible so she says really stupid stuff like this:

The problem is, she TRIED to do that, but after her brief stint in Gamergate, people are more wise to her lying, shitposting, and dramawhoring. She also burned bridges with Wu, Quinn, Sagal, AND Harper. Not to mention with all the patient souls in the indie-dev and fuzz pedal communities, and with the company that bought out her brand. You guys are not the first, nor will you be the last community that welcomes her in, remarking about how she's changed and how interesting and intelligent she is until she starts sperging out like so. It doesn't take too much to set her off, but I'm pretty sure EDF set a record with that performance and it's interesting to see the fallout from that manifest here too.

I have it on authority that her guitar pedal business was never truly profitable. It was more that she barely squeaked by and over time accumulated a large IRS debt. At this time, I can't say too much on the subject until my source for this info is ok with it.

I don't really know anything about her outside the guitar effects community, but she's burned a lot of bridges and many people still want their money back from the failed CONSOLE Kickstarter. That and she's generally not well liked because of the drama and instability. I'd encourage her not to try and reenter the effects community. Her money grab is pretty transparent, at least to me.

Besides all that, I thought her pedals sucked for various reasons.
 
We've had quite a few lolcows that came here, sounded pretty reasonable, then within a a few days or even a whole week more information about them comes out that confirms their status.

I was a bit surprised it took this one so long. You don't have that much drama following you around the internet unless you did something and most likely are still doing it.

Look at ADF. If he really wanted to he could have kept off the radar but ADF can't stop being ADF so now he has his own sub forum. Devi seems to follow that same path.

The bank would just eat it and leave the site alone, it costs more than $20 bucks to process a chargeback. Devi still bought us some server time, whether she likes it or not.

If I'm being honest I'm not totally buying that trolling Notch was just for lulz. Her speech toward the end of the video about why Notch should fund her shit seemed fairly 'tistic, but who knows people change. Trolling ED forums is just of symptom of what makes a lolcow a lolcow, need for attention, positive or negative.
