Kind of like watching those old doctor videos from 1945 about that doctor putting a big huge needle up his butt!!! andy won’t like that too much!
 
this is the actual protocol if Andy doesnt do what hes told and becomes belligerent or violent
i wanted to wait until it was at least said he was going to a state hospital before posting
whether its Vincents or Warren, the protocol is actually the same amongst all 6 providers in the state
basicly they ask him to stop and then clear the area of any patients/staff when he doesnt
then they surround him in a "show of force" or as they call it "a show of support"
they ask him to comply, if he doesnt they jump on him with state approved holds so they can involuntarily inject him with medication
after all this they de-brief the hospital and doctors on what happened and explain to the patient why it happened and how not to get bullied in the future
1- Verbal De-escalation: Before any physical intervention, a single designated staff member attempts to speak to the patient using a calm, low, and non-confrontational tone to identify the trigger and offer choices or coping strategies.

2 - Environmental Containment: Other staff members work to quietly clear the immediate area of other residents, visitors, and potential hazards or loose objects that could be used as weapons.

3 - Physical Intervention (As a Last Resort): If the "show of numbers" fails to de-escalate the situation and the patient poses an immediate danger to themselves or others, trained staff will initiate approved, hands-on therapeutic holding techniques to safely restrain the individual.

4 - Chemical Containment / Medication: If authorized by a physician's standing order or emergency protocol, fast-acting de-escalation medications may be administered to assist the patient in returning to a safe behavioral baseline.

5 - Post-Crisis Debriefing: Once the patient is calm and safe, staff document the incident comprehensively and debrief both the staff members involved and the patient to evaluate what triggered the crisis and how future incidents can be prevented.

not his room, his medication, his devices, the way hes treated, his food, nothing
even the smallest of things Andy will not have control over
 
I'm hoping the first thing they do is just simply take away the diapers, the tantrum he'll throw over not being allowed to wear diapers for the incontinence he doesn't have will be hilarious. Imagine a 41 year old fat guy throwing a kicking and screaming tantrum on the floor like a toddler because he was given a pair of underwear and told to use the toilet like the adult that he is.

I was thinking similarly about his AAC, though that may be different, since he apparently did manage to sucker someone who can "prescribe" them into doing so. Though even if they can't initially just yoink the thing without the go-ahead from a shrink, I'm guessing it will be considered a treatment goal to limit his self-imposed "dependency" on it until eventually the norm is "use your words like the perfectly capable 41yo you are or we give you one warning to stop making noise, and after that we'll just dope you up and strap you to a bed for the rest of the day and extend your stay here".

Most facilities use Haldol or Geodon rather than Thorazine these days, but the results are generally the same. (Geodon can be good stuff to use if you're able to give it some time to set in, the side effect profile is much nicer than the older atypical antipsychotics. But if you're looking for speed, nothing beats the B-52 cocktail: 50mg of Benadryl, 5mg of Haldol and 2mg of Ativan, delivered IM. Guaranteed to calm even the angriest rampaging Poopsquatch in minutes!)
 
A friend invited me to a "one flew over the kookoos nest" showing this weekend. Fun timing.

Maybe this winter, when the first snow falls, he can huck a water fountain through a window and give us one last lay in the snow before getting dragged back in by big black orderlies and nurse Ratchet.

The nursing staff is ignored my need for help with wiping and washing my private parts and diaper changes.

They refuse to help me with bathroom reminders and reminders to drink water and and help with diaper checks

I am request to leave ABA because I don't feel safe asked for help anymore.

I don't want a rash or leak and skin discomfort with this.

I am aware what my needs are and what I need help with and why. I am aware of health care neglect and abuse. I am aware it's a duty of care to help people who can't do things physically or mentally.

I want to hold health care workers accountable for their actions by if I get sick or hurt because of my inability to know how to take care of myself. I am going to accept their refusal to help me because I understand I can't control anyone else. I can only control myself. I am entitled to health care not neglect.

I am not mental illness. I am not lazy. I am not defiant. I am a person who needs help. I get frustrated with asking for help and explain why I need help.

He is literally staring down the barrel of being involuntarily committed long-term and still the only thing on his mind is the fact that he is not getting his ass wiped. It's amazing how that is the only thing he's thinking about right now; I bet if the doctors lied and falsely promised that Andy would get his ass wiped once he got to Warren hospital he would do everything they asked no problem.

You're forgetting he's a fucking moron. Like, clinically stupid. He is not nearly as smart or clever as anyone here seems to believe he is. He's laser-focused on ass wiping because that's his fetish, that's his "thing," and it's all he really cares about. Someone else opined earlier today he loves conflict above all else, but I strongly suspect if someone willingly satisfied his fecal fetish, he'd be gentle as a lamb until the urge came back. His entire brain's hard-wired to want just one thing. All other considerations are secondary.
