If we were to try bombing the UK I doubt half the people there would be able to tell the difference between a bomb crater in the middle of the road and an ordinary pothole.

But the Canadian health care system doesn't kill English people? That's the only (incredibly fucking retarded and loose) ground they have for the entire law and fine.

Not to mention this not having anything to do with suicide or mental health. Ofcom is nothing but one of the government's many censorial branches.

Ofcom:

  1. Expedited timescales for reviewing illegal hate and terror content. X will review and assess UK suspected illegal terrorist and hate content reported through its dedicated UK illegal content reporting tool on average within 24 hours of it being reported, to be calculated as a mean. As a backstop, it will review and assess at least 85% of UK suspected illegal terrorist and hate content reported through its dedicated UK illegal content reporting tool within a maximum of 48 hours. These targets, if met, will give UK users some of the strongest protections on X globally.
  2. Engaging with experts regarding reporting systems for illegal hate and terror content. This is in response to concerns by some organisations who told us they had alerted multiple pieces of suspected illegal hate and terrorism content to X but were unclear if such reports were being received or actioned.
  3. Action against accounts operated by or on behalf of proscribed organisations. X will withhold access in the UK to accounts reported for posting UK illegal terrorist content, if it determines they are operated by or on behalf of a terrorist organisation proscribed in the UK.
X will submit performance data to Ofcom on a quarterly basis over a 12-month period, so we can actively monitor its performance against these targets and ensure it is delivering improvements to the safety of UK users.

X does have substantial business ties with the UK. The issue here will be whether or not X intends to apply enforcement solely against UK entities or will do it site wide. I dont mind Bongs suffering. They voted for this and/or refuse to chop the Kings head off. They deserve to suffer.

Sadly, I doubt it will stay localized.

It appears they're currently planning to block the reported content in the UK only. However OFCOM doesn't explicitly say "only blocked for UK plebs", because that would make them sound like ineffective censors.
