I noticed there are a couple of public boards on the forum where guests can post. Reading the posts, many people ask when registration will reopen, and the only answer they get is "eventually".
There's also a new announcement on the forum. I'm guessing the jannies are cleaning things up before getting flooded with new users once the registrations are open, but that's just my guess.
As for Booru, again, nothing noteworthy. They've simply been featuring some struggling "artists".

I'd be mad at whoever started the DDoS campaign that supposedly made Vistarrr change its mind and keep the site up and running, but even if they had shut it down, people would have rebuilt it under a different name anyway. I don't want to be overly negative, but I can't help thinking that whatever the outcome, it would have been pointless.

XenForo is self-hosted forum software. KF runs on it even now (though Dear Leader is writing new forum software to replace it).
You're missing my point. They explicitly ended a paid business relationship with Kiwi Farms over its content, which they themselves admit they rarely do. Yet they appear to be continuing to allow ATF to maintain their license and continue receiving updates and support. Presumably they're okay with their content. This can be assumed because they openly declared against KF's content, meaning they pay attention and make active judgement calls about what their paying customers do with their product. Permissiveness implies approval in such environments where disapproval prompts immediate irreversible corrective action.
They're lolicon supporters, is what I'm saying. Work with me here a little, lad.
