Has BMJ ever had a serious, professional mental health evaluation? His behavior could be crack, but he could also be using crack because he has bipolar disorder, etc... (which is not uncommon) I have seen this kind of substance abuse pattern in people that had very serious, untreated mental disorders that were misdiagnosed as just being junkies when they really were very mentally unwell and self-medicating.
 
I will openly admit to having too much faith in a crackhead to go more than a month on the outs without that crispy crack cocaine. Ratfaggotdad needs to QUIT FUCKING WITH HIM, LET HIM DO HIS THING.

A minority but not-insignificant percentage of alcoholics are people who self-medicate for severe (actual) ADHD, same with constant energy drink users. (and there is a surprising overlap between the two). Have no experience with crack or its effects but the self medication theory might be worth looking into, at least if he ever saw a psychiatrist/psychologist.
