How much of a difference would've it been if Crosby was there? I think it would've definitely kept USA on their toes a lot more after the first period. Probably there would be more scoring on both sides as they stayed fired up. I don't know if USA would've pulled it off.

Connor Hellebuyck deserves all of their medals after the performance he gave today. Kinda disappointed the Bash Bros weren't more aggressive past the first period but I'm spoiled and they got the win either way. The leafs made USA earn this win. Those are my disjointed thoughts. See you at the next one.
Canada was good without Crosby. It doesn't matter what Cunacks say on Reddit, of course they'd dishonor their players. This shit was fair good game. Cry bitches.

I wasn’t expecting the Hughes brothers to be the more important pair of siblings… but fuck it all four are American Heroes

Can anyone explain why Canada put a center out to win the face-off off in USA's zone, for him to immediately skate off for a line change forcing Canada back to neutral Ice.

What was the plan there?

Sid's getting older, and while I don't think he could have scored 10 goals by himself to win the game, I do think he would have had a tangible effect on team morale. It's an interesting "what-if", at least

I believe this is the other reason why the States won this game.

Sid probably would've provided Canada with that know how to win edge. 40 minutes of tilting the ice and only getting one goal, Sid wouldn't have allowed that. I didn't see many deflected shots, this game was kind of a throwback on that front. Sid's still top 3 in the world on deflecting pucks into the net, maybe still number one. Also not a whole lot of below the end line play by either team, again Sid is still very elite at that. If he had been available Canada would have played differently offensively to some degree

Plebbitors are getting salty when anyone points out DA EBIL AMERICANS might have won because Canada fucked up. Fuck, I'm salty my guys lost, but the Canadians got what they deserved. That's hockey.

...that said, I'm still not going to get more charitable to the Tkachuk brothers.

Edit: Also 3-on-3 overtime is bullshit and I will stand on that hill

3 on 3 hockey is about a lot of fresh skaters and changes. He was probably the guy to win the faceoff then get a shooter on the ice

Team Canada looks like someone stepped over their grave.

That's what interests me the most. Crosby's been there before and personally made us eat shit. That experience, wisdom, and confidence is impossible to quantify.
