This is Bryce Aaron (now “Brianna Alexandra”) Zimmer, who nowadays goes by Miss Breezy VTuber, and is probably one of the most fucked up examples from the Splatoon/SplatSource and the VRChat communities. Having been discussed in both the VRChat and the SplatSource threads before, I believed this person deserved a full thread, as the sheer amount of drama caused warrants something much more than a side note in bigger threads. Before I start, I want to give credit to Eternal Maxwell; his work in documenting Captain BAZ (mostly in a Google Drive that he updates every so often) was invaluable and this thread could not have been made without his efforts.
The Notorious B.A.Z.
Bryan was born on October 8, 1989, as indicated by his DeviantArt profile and his Wii U username, and attended Ogemaw Heights High School.
With his high school degree, Bryce would break out onto the rapping scene as “B.A.Z.”, dropping his gangster rap album “Up In Smoke” in 2008. Here is one of the album’s songs, “Better Bring My Money” (A, video doesn’t play):
If you want to listen to other tracks in the album, B.A.Z. reuploaded some of them (only 11 out of the 18 he claimed there were) on the YouTube channel BAZ Up in Smoke 2008 Z-Money Records (A, PreserveTube) in 2021. Here is the rest of the discography that survives today:

You might think “there is no way this is actually Captain B.A.Z.,” but the man himself confirmed it on an Instagram story when asking his fans if they wanted more music from him.
Unlike some other gangster rappers, B.A.Z. ain’t a poser; he got arrested and put on probation (presumably in 2011 for drug possession). This seems to be the point where B.A.Z. stopped producing music.
“I’m not glorying weed”; “The po told me to change this page”; “This guy is off probation”
However, B.A.Z. wasn’t just a fire lyricist; he also expressed his creativity in the form of art.

As you can tell from the Goku drawing and the updated cover photo, Bryce was (and still is) quite the weeb. Bryce’s interest in Japanese media also stretched to Nintendo, with him even getting a tattoo of Mario Mario himself.

There’s also this supposed 2012 Facebook post of his, and while the only source is an Instagram post making fun of this (A), it’s very in-character for him.
What may surprise you is that despite all of the above, Bryce had a wife and 2 kids, at least according to a Christmas 2014 video (PreserveTube) he uploaded on his “Bryce Zimmer” YouTube channel.

Captain of the Self Ship Marina
Being a Nintendo gamer weeb, perhaps it was inevitable that Bryce would become a fan of the E10+ game series Splatoon (at the age-appropriate 25 years old when it first came out), but his love for the game would really ramp up with the release of the second game Splatoon 2 and specifically the introduction of the game’s first Octoling idol, Marina. Marina was so influential to Bryce that his first ever Instagram post as Captain BAZ was a “drawing” (recolor) of Marina (A).

In fact, quite a few of his Instagram posts were just him shipping himself with Marina:

And just like any other weeb and his waifu, he bought a Marina body pillow off of eBay (A).
He even made an alternate Instagram account called “dj_marina_octoling” pretending to be his girlfriend Marina, and we know this is his account because he posted the exact same picture on both “Marina’s” account and his!
All of this self-shipping culminated into his posts announcing (A) and celebrating his wedding with Marina (A), inviting all of his Instagram friends and having a “honeymoon” after (A).
The Instagram post documenting the “honeymoon” post has a few creative comments:
Marina was so dear to her in fact, his “relationship” to Marina is the only reason he hadn’t killed himself at the time (A), which he revealed while lore dumping about his “World of Splatoon.”
Of course, this autism would not go unnoticed. Two Italian teenagers, Octopie and Ika, would create the “christianmomsagainstcaptainbaz” Instagram account to document his behavior (and frankly A-Log him, but I’ve used their posts as they are the only source of Captain BAZ’s 2017 presence). The two covered Captain BAZ’s cringy posts, including his obsession with Marina, poor quality worldbuilding, and failure to credit the artists of the art Captain BAZ used in his Instagram posts.

This documentation was enough for one of Captain BAZ’s Instagram friends, lucykage, to step up and defend his honor. Keep this name in mind for later.
“No, we are not trying to ‘harass’ or ‘bully’ Baz.”/A; “It’s ridiculous how they are trying to get your attention”/A
It would be reasonable to think that Captain BAZ was just having issues with his marriage and escaping into the world of Splatoon, but nope; by this time he already had a third kid!
“ARE YOU KIDDING ME?”/A
Captain BAZ took notice of christianmomsagainstcaptainbaz, and reacted very reasonably.
“Take my wifey [...] off your page”/A; “your reported by over 400 people”/A; “please report this account”/A
Undeterred, the Italians were sent proof that Captain Baz traced one of his Marina self-ship images from a base, and later that day they made a bigger post comparing Captain BAZ’s “art” to various bases and other pieces of Splatoon art.
On his Instagram stories, Captain BAZ attempted to get his followers to report the two, then blocked them and claimed victory (A).
When that didn’t work, he started spamming their comment section.

Very maturely, when that also didn’t work, he suicide-baited and started threatening the two Italians in their posts’ comment sections.

In response to the last comment, one of the two DMed Captain BAZ to call his bluff (A). He did not respond at first.
Instead of responding, Captain BAZ decided to make an Instagram account about not hating on him (A) and claim that the christianmomsagainstcaptainbaz account was actually a troll bot account (A).
The two Italians then posted some Pearl x Marina yuri ship art and claimed it was the only good ship (A), which seems to have prompted Captain BAZ into being quite homophobic (A); this led the two Italians to reveal that they were both lesbian (A).
After making a wrong guess (A), Captain BAZ started to get very violent with the lesbian Italian teenagers.

He’d also claim in those same DMs that his marriage is actually going great and that his wife supports his Marina self-shipping (A).
The threats didn’t stay in DMs; on his Instagram story he posted about flying to Italy to “take care of some things” (A), a thinly-veiled threat to the teenagers behind the christianmomsagainstcaptainbaz account.
He also started getting really paranoid about people taking his stories and sending them to the christianmomsagainstcaptainbaz account.

Continuing to speak through Instagram stories, he would say the following:
After for some reason (probably) making another account about his ship (A), the last bit of real drama he would get into was when he DMed two Instagram accounts (the christianmomsagainstcaptainbaz account again (A) and some Callie roleplay account (A)) to insult them.
Following that, nothing much would come from Captain BAZ besides a few cringey posts related to Callie (A) and Tsuyu from My Hero Academia (A). The most notable thing is that it seems he got into SplatSource by 2018 (A), which itself is quite the community.
Very cringe (especially for a 27-year-old former gangster rapper) but relatively quite innocent, right? Well, if you know anything about SplatSource drama, his move into that community was a bad sign of things to come.
The Captain’s Abuse of Authority
And here’s the part the subtitle alludes to. Captain BAZ’s first publicly known grooming scandal was exposed in late 2018, with a minor named pikathelover. When this was made public, he tried to blame both pikathelover and lucykage (yes, the one who defended him last year) because they “sexually tricked” him for a year (A (partial)), along with claiming that lucykage pushed him into smoking meth (
):To defend himself, Captain BAZ also went live on Instagram to explain his side of the story.
After “exposing” pikathelover, he made a post with a long apology and marked November 11, 2018 as the “end” of Captain BAZ, also making Instagram stories as well.
Unsurprisingly, Captain BAZ did not leave the Internet or the Captain BAZ identity behind. Only a few months later, he was exposed for grooming another minor by the name of “marina_bae,” receiving nudes from her via blackmail and threatening to tell her boyfriend (A), according to one of the “exposing Captain BAZ” accounts.
rokkandley (who claims to be marina.boi) says she was 11 at the time she DMed Captain BAZ over Instagram (A, around 2018), and as mentioned in the caption above, the grooming messed her up to the point she had recurring nightmares about him (A).

He later confirmed he did this when he apologized for his actions and blamed his drinking (A). He then claimed he was going into rehab (A), although the timing of his announcement implies he was only doing so for pity points. "simply_myrandha", who claims to be the sister of BAZ's then wife, claimed on the second Instagram post that he only went to rehab because of CPS and hit his daughter (who was only 1 or 2 years old) so hard he left a handprint.
Once again, Captain BAZ made a giant apology and made a livestream supposedly explaining “everything” (which unfortunately does not seem to have been archived).

Perhaps all this grooming was a sign of marriage trouble; according to Bryce his wife started cheating on him with niggers around this time (A, also pretty funny considering his waifu) and eventually got his kids taken away by CPS.
All this controversy wouldn’t go unnoticed. Of course, it started small, with the various anti-Captain BAZ groups catching wind and sending the information out. One notable recipient of this was a humble YouTuber named T0xic4Life, then making Captain BAZ a subject of his video series titled “Toxic Tales” (A, partial).
While T0xic4Life and others may not have had quite the reach at the time, the drama did start to affect Captain BAZ: most notably, a Marina-themed Amino group would ban Captain BAZ in early April, causing Captain BAZ to suicide-bait by “drinking” bleach and posting as “his wife” while he was in the hospital.
You would think that someone like Captain BAZ would at least try to lay low and stay away from the community at large, right? Nope, throughout 2019-2020 at least 13 different people came forward to allege that Captain BAZ groomed them or someone they knew, documented by the 8 Instagram accounts mentioned in the Google Drive that covered Captain BAZ. While he did have a lot of A-Logs and his username changes in the various screenshots, I believe at least 11 of them to be real.
pikathelover (17, if I’m interpreting the Instagram posts about her correctly then yes, this is the same girl Captain BAZ was exposed for being with in late 2018); there’s even a collection of Discord DMs and what I believe are Amino DMs to go along with this.

- After breaking up with Mint, got with the guy that she:

In addition to being exposed for all of that grooming mentioned above, there was a Pornhub account called “KingOfBonerz” that was claimed as his, as Captain BAZ (A) and KingOfBonerz (A) both owned the same design of a Marina body pillow, plus one of Captain BAZ’s old names was “king_of_krakens”; surely they were the same, right?
Well, despite one of the minors claiming the KingOfBonerz Pornhub account is his, I actually do not think the former King of Krakens was also the King of Bonerz, and here’s why:

In August 2019, one of these accounts (cpt. bozo) even unmasked most of his accounts at the time, telling its followers to mass report Captain BAZ’s accounts to get him off the Internet.
While cpt.bozo’s raid only mentioned the then-titled “Extreme Game Room Captain” YouTube channel, Captain BAZ had another channel simply titled “Bryce Zimmer” where he uploaded family videos; these weren’t safe from the comment spam raid either (A).
Seems like the raiders lost sight of their target and started going after Captain BAZ’s family, leading to a message by Captain BAZ’s mom (the file name says ex-wife but in context it doesn’t make sense, as the woman seems to refer to Captain BAZ as her “child”):
Another Instagram account documenting him, weirdsplatoonfans, also declared a comment spam raid on Captain BAZ. This raid “worked” in the sense that Captain BAZ did react and privated his Instagram account the same day it happened.
While somewhat amusing, neither raid actually did much considering Captain BAZ still got exposed for grooming minors in 2020 and 2021. Besides, the Captain BAZ name was about to become outdated…
