The thought of a 35-year-old man being grounded makes me laugh my ass off.what if he's grounded for a month, and if he survives he won't get evicted lol
momgrandma won't let him out of the house, he doesn't know how to feed himself or clean himself/his clothes, he can't count or do math, his teeth are falling out, he gets grounded still, he can't drive, he's afraid of going to the dentist or doctorThe thought of a 35-year-old man being grounded makes me laugh my ass off.
I wonder if they never got their box fix after the last one.what if he's grounded for a month, and if he survives he won't get evicted lol

he ain't ever coming back unless a buddy troll tells him to, and even then he's not going to see your totally epic insults or care
Do you guys ever just stop and think about exactly what a sad, stunted life the creature has had and will have? I know everyone here knows far too much about him at this point to ever truly pity or sympathize with him, but when I think about what a shell of a life he's been cursed with it's the closest I get to any kind of pity. The thought of a 35-year-old man being grounded makes me laugh my ass off.
Sometimes i get caught having philosophical thoughts about RaxxDo you guys ever just stop and think about exactly what a sad, stunted life the creature has had and will have? 35 years old, and he has never known - and will never know - so many of the things most grown humans value and live for. He'll never know what it is to establish and maintain adult relationships, whether with colleagues, neighbors, or lovers/spouses. He'll never know the fulfillment of pursuing and advancing a career. He'll never have the pride of maintaining his own independence and improving the life he's made for himself.
Instead, he will live, as Marty would often say, the life of a twelve year old on a permanent summer vacation, forever, until his AIDs of the teeth finally catches up to him. When an adult is tired from working and maintaining a home and dealing with their family's needs, that might almost sound nice, but the more you think about that life, the more you realize it's a curse.
12-year-olds can at least do basic math. Creature is more like a 6-year-old mentally.Instead, he will live, as Marty would often say, the life of a twelve year old on a permanent summer vacation, forever, until his AIDs of the teeth finally catches up to him. Creature lost his phone when he fell down the hill. Family is such poor white trash, it will be a while before he gets a hand-me-down to replace it. They are always about 10-15 years behind in tech. He does have a Chromebook to get online.I'm curious about the raxx grounding now. He at least has his phone since he's posting on facebook.

He will never know true satisfactions.introspection]
If there's one chance (heh) that Chance might do the best of his situation is [religious sperging ahead] take advantage of a horrible life to reflect upon the nature of suffering and it's origins (craving) and make a change. Suffering will continue for as long he values material possessions and petty recognition to caress his ego. Once (if) he truly realizes it, the suffering stops. He'll log off for the last time and try to fix things. I doubt it he'll do it, but in this world the only ever certain we have is deathUltimately, perhaps his greatest sin is he's selfish. He does nothing for others, unless it directly benefits him and requires minimal effort. Children will make basic/terrible art, but they often make it for loved ones to make them happy. Children may want to have fun first, but they will shadow parents/grandparents as they do odd jobs, even asking if they can help. Chance does none of this, and frankly at this point he never will; the only person that matters to Chance is Chance.

...and Sally telling Tangerine Cat that she didn't, as she needed help applying.
Like, yes it's one thing with Dale Lynn saying it to possibly cover, but Sally lying to, basically, a stranger? And she's not asking for money to help cover the lack, but for help applying? I just don't think they're getting a tugboat for Chance.
I don't think people can realize how mentally fatigued Sally must be having to deal with Chance 24/7, a extremely mental taxing routine and people still harassing her house, breaking stuff, threatening her... I'm listening to Morty's Dale Lynn interview coverage and i noticed in the comments that people are just 8 or 80. She's rightfully angry about all the situation, trolls harassing Sally and throwing all the weight upon her. She raised Chance badly, for sure, but you can't really oversimplify stuff like that, it's a very tricky situation. In my view Sally is basically hostage to Chance and just stunlocked in a impossible situation with a solution that might be "obvious" to who views from outside, but very tricky from within the familyI think the best evidence for the idea that Sally doesn't receive benefits is the brief call she had with Marty the second time he showed up to Akron. After he apologized for the fallout of his visit, he not only laid out exactly why all the chaos and drama was happening, but even offered a pretty basic plan for Chance to take SOME responsibility around the house by paying for a portion of the Wi-Fi bill.
Sally refused to even engage with the idea. She offered multiple reasons why it wouldn't work, and even after Marty countered with ways to get past that, she just sighed and threw up her hands and resorted to saying "I don't know" like a child until the conversation shut down entirely.
@anliteralidiot has brought up Sally's complicated (and often pretty sad) history, which I think explains it, but it's pretty obvious that she's adopted an attitude of being defeated before she even tries. It's the reason she just sighs and shrugs or gets frustrated when the cops tell her she needs to get Chance off the internet.

Anyway, people expect too much of Sally, now an almost 80 years old woman to solve this problem, it's unrealistic to do so. Chance's problem should be solved by law enforcement, and it's more of a flaw from Ohio's laws than Sally at this point, he's a 35 year old man, not a child, and pretty aware of whats right or wrong. Bothering and blaming Sally at this point does nothing
We had a sneak peek of the horrors at 339 when Chance raxxed out on Ed and Sally during his little Evanescence cover show last year. Sally's voice man, that's actual fear, the way her voice cracked when she yelled "get upstairs". In my opinion is the most terrifying thing i've ever seen among all horrible shit we see related to Chance. She's a hostage, no doubt. Unfortunately mother love can be a terrible thing. I live in a place where crime's bad, criminal factions, cartels and such. Many get in a young age. Their mothers always suffer. They won't condone their childrens criminal acts, but what can they do? It's heartbreaking, loving their sons even when their actions leads to all sort of horrible things, people with assault rifles invading their houses, or getting beat up their addicted sons because she won't give him money for drugs, all the violence, they all grief when they eventually get killed. Mothers will still love her sons even when they take war into their homes, so it's not surprising to me that a mother would still love their weirdo if trolls are messing with her and her houseI agree with this for the most part. Especially the bit about the situation being past the point where we can expect an 80 year old woman to do much to effectively wrangle the screeching goblin creature in her attic.
I think there's evidence that Sally DID try with Chance at some point... he references a special needs school, he hung out with a girlfriend at some sort of disability conference, he knows about Operation Smile so it's fair to say maybe Sally reached out at some point, and there was even that social services visit that Chance thought was a PBS documentary. It makes me genuinely curious when she stopped trying? What straw broke the camel's back? Maybe that stuff just kind of fell into her lap without her making much of an effort, who knows!
More goblin lore I fear we may never truly uncover.![]()
