Previous story about the same guy: https://kiwifarms.st/threads/the-my...d-of-masterminding-a-14bn-crypto-scam.231453/

(source for below is a tweet from a reputable account)
Chen Zhi, that dude who made like, $75,000,000,000 from cryptoscamming and stuff, was extradited from Cambodia to China. The Chinese government released footage of his arrest & are treating Chen Zhi like he's Bin LadenDawg, the Chinese government is going to KILL this guy

- Black bag over his face- Private flight to China- Surrounded by armed guards- Arms and legs shackled- Private bus of armed guardsHe is so fucked bro, he's going to magically "disappear".

Yeah, so basically since like, 2015 or something, Zhi did human trafficking. The feds think he had as many as 100,000 acting as slaves to do crypto pig butchering scams, making as much as $30,000,000 a day (or roughly $10,950,000,000) a year. He had tons of shell companies, "real companies", casinos and gambling and stuff. He bribed politicians and stuff too in Cambodia. In 2025 the USA seized $15,000,000,000 in BTC from him, the UK seized a mansion and other stuff totalling like $500,000,000. Then Taiwan, Thailand and Hong Kong seized his fancy cars that totaled like, $300,000,000 in fancy car stuff. Smart people who studied him think he (scammed, trafficking, purchased assets, his "legit" conglomerate) made as much as $75,000,000,000 but it's hard to tell, it's speculative because of how much it's distributed, paid to people, bribed, etc.His company was "Prince Group" and they specialized in buying businesses and luxury real estate all across the globe, but it was all funded by crypto scamming and human trafficking. They had offices, employees, investors (no idea if they knew or not). Bro was out of his mind

So, it definitely sounds like China thought they looked bad because other "lesser" nations were doing more about this scamming monster than China was, so they now overcompensated by going after this guy like he assassinated Lord Pooh Bear. Well, better late than never at least. 100 thousand slaves is an astounding number of people to have imprisoned, and frankly he deserves whatever the Chinese end up doing to him for making them lose face.
Those "lessee countries" weren't doing shit. Did you at least try and read the articles? I've read headlines back in 2021 about these syndicates and how hard it is to disband them. Their host countries did nothing because all their officials have been paid off and the scammers usually helps the government with infrastructure building.
It's only until the Department of Justice made their press release for stuff to start happening. If you read the Wikipedia entry and find references, he was on China's radar since 2020. He's a Cambodian citizen with residence in Taiwan. I'd say he was really good at playing this game until the host countries can't afford to protect him anymore. Slave scammers dying and victims killing themselves are now making headlines in these countries. If they don't come together and do something, riots would happen. China doesn't like mass demonstrations and SEA ones often turn bloody with casualties.

Anyway they did the right thing even though it's at least 3 years too late.

Korean embassy in Cambodia was also criticized as well for not issuing temporary passports to victims of the scamming camps, citing that it's not working hours (it was working hours) and that they need to show identification (they're all fucking stolen when they got kidnapped).

Truly nobody was doing the right thing here until the Thai started bombing Cambodia and China felt like it had enough with Chen.

This scam operation alone was worth more than the annual GDP of Cambodia by like 40%. Beyond officials being paid off, it probably reached the point where the economy was somewhat dependent on it (depending on how much of that money was actually being invested in Cambodia)
Anyway they did the right thing even though it's at least 3 years too late.
Remains to be seen because the whole operation could still exist and he just ended up being the fall guy and has been replaced with someone else.

- Myanmar got Chinese police involved, on their sovereign soil?
- They found the corpses of three Chinese nationals at an abandoned life stock farm. (Taking the pig butchering a little too literally, wtf.)
- According to this short piece, they've been working on something since at least 2023.

Yeah these guys are all cooked. It's going to take at least a year for any charges to land. I'll keep a close eye on the happenings.
I looked back in 2023 and there were no mentions of the bodies of three Chinese nationals being found in Myanmar. China's news cycle is on it now. They're slowing building up anguish to justify throwing the book at these guys.

Why do I keep seeing "pig butchering" mentioned in quotes but no explanation of wtf it is
You can just google it. It's basically taking everything that a person has. They have a bunch of people working on targetting one person. The more lucrative, the more people join in.
They'll create fake individuals and target typically wealthy but lonely people. Then they'll start to scam them of everything they have. It could be recommending financial services, investments and so on.
It's like Chinese industrial automation but done in the context of scams.

Korean embassy in Cambodia was also criticized as well for not issuing temporary passports to victims of the scamming camps, citing that it's not working hours (it was working hours) and that they need to show identification (they're all fucking stolen when they got kidnapped).

This sounds like a mini version of the Sewol disaster. Some of these people are just too complacent.

If he was offing Chinamen I can only assume his case is going to proceed very quickly and end in actual execution.

Edit: it is plausible that Cambodia saying they did the good thing by involving Chinese police is just them saving face and China threatened to buttrape them if they didn't sort it out quickly. So to give the appearance they didn't do it themselves or sell out their reputable politicians they just had to get another state involved.

What I don't get about people like this is why they don't stop after earning enough to live a comfortable upper class lifestyle in a stable third world country.
10-20 million and they would never have to worry about working again and their money would slowly increase through stock market returns.

Instead they continue until they go to prison.
Once you get into that world it can be hard to get out. It's not the gov that is the issue but other criminals. Criminals run the identity networks and control the plastic surgons etc. Then there is the downstream effects of leaving your "people" behind. Other criminal groups will move in and kill your old workers. Sure, they are evil people, but most of them have family/clan ties to the group and they do value those.

Also they are stupid. They buy off politicians without realizing that those politicians will sell them out as soon as it becomes convenient to do so. They get comfertable.

El Chapo and Pablo Escobar are good examples of this. They got imbeded with intelligence agencies and thought it made them untouchable. Just like the politicians, intel agencies have no loyalty to these criminals.

As zoomies would say, "LET'S FUCKING GOOOOO".

China executes 11 core members of Myanmar-based telecoms fraud ring

They include members of the Ming family crime syndicate found guilty of murder, illegal detention, running casinos and other offences

A Chinese court has executed 11 people, including several citizens of Myanmar, linked to a notorious telecoms fraud group based in the Southeast Asian country for crimes including fraud, drug trafficking and murder.
The Wenzhou Intermediate People’s Court in eastern Zhejiang province carried out the executions of people who formed the core leadership of the Ming family crime syndicate and associated telecoms fraud groups, state broadcaster CCTV reported on Thursday.
According to China’s Supreme People’s Court, which reviewed and approved the death sentences, the gang operated extensively in Myanmar’s Kokang region, specifically in the Laukkai, Shiyuanzi and Chinshwehaw areas, starting in 2015.
The court confirmed the syndicate had established multiple compounds, luring financial backers with promises of armed protection to run telecoms scams and illegal gambling operations involving over 10 billion yuan (US$1.4 billion).

The gang systematically used lethal violence to control their operations, according to the court. They were convicted of intentionally killing, wounding and illegally detaining people in their scam compounds, resulting in the deaths of 14 Chinese citizens and injuries to many more.

In one incident in October 2023, gang members opened fire on captive Chinese nationals, killing four to prevent them from being repatriated to Chinese authorities, according to earlier CCTV reports.

Note: I bet those "citizens" of Myanmar were naturalised/purchased, and they're originally from China. The head of this Price whatever group is a "Taiwan/Myanmar" dual citizen, he originated from the Mainland of course.

Want to know something else? Like Europe's methamphetamine addiction pandemic?
Yeah, Myanmar is in it too.

I never want to see people comparing the US to other countries with the death penalty. In the US motherfuckers will spend a 20 years on death row using every single means of appeals and if the end up being executed its because they are guilty as sin or so close to it it's indistinguishable. China executed an arrest on crime syndicate (once they were no longer useful to the state) had their trial and hung them in the same calendar month. Less than 20 days.

There's literally no reason the American government can't do this to Indian and African scammers other than they hate us

Since the US is going full Chinese survalence and social credit score, can we at least do this too?

It'll only be applied to Whites, while Blacks, Muslims, Indians, trannies, and illegal immigrants will somehow be immune.

China also sentenced to death and executed the Zhuhai mass car attacker in only 2 months after the incident. Compare that to how long it took for Japan to sentence the KyoAni arsonist to death, and the current wait to actually execute him.
