Linus is a greedy faggot and I hope anyone working for him with an ounce of talent leaves.
I dont get it, he goes on and on about capitalism and greed, but for what ever reason does not want to give a legacy employee what he CLEARLY deserves? Maybe i am not business minded enough but the dude has three houses tf:story:

"LMG's general policy is not to comment on HR-related matters, so unfortunately you will never hear our side." When it comes to what Linus can say or do, why does he suddenly care about following LMG policy? I assume he simply can't defend not giving Jake a pay rise.

Speaking of which, if Luke and Linus bought a plane... holy shit Luke is a fucking idiot. Not too long ago the guy was still living in an apartment with his girlfriend and another roommate.

This could be also luke fault from being bad with money, I've met more than once people who makes 20-30x the minimum wage living from paycheck to paycheck because they don't know how to save money and spend everything on worthless junk or lavish stuff but this is me speculating and I wouldn't be surprised if Linus is a jew with him too.

“One side, the other wife, and in between”? What the fuck is that about? That’s not how the saying goes. Is this passive-aggressive turbo-faggot trying to say something about Jake’s personal life or did his brain just miss a step coming down the stairs?

Update on the LMG plane, there was this article published that talks about it:

The key points are:
  • Influence Air is a subsidiary of LMG and only the site is registered on Luke's name
  • There's was a few flights from CA to CES and NY(Jimmy Fallon show)
  • It's a heavy private jet, which is one of the most luxurious types of jets
  • It costed around 5-6Mi according to the listing

I think he was trying to say Jake was the other wife, even though the joke was always Jake is the bull for Yvonne and Lienus is the cuck. He tried to spin it a bit where heh, redditorino, he's actually the alpha in these relationships.

The phrase for me was always "his side, her side, and the truth." Because Lienus can't use gender specific because he's a fag liberal leaf, he tried to be cute and failed.

That's entirely possible, but even then most people with a ton of money and in a relationship can figure out how to get a roof over their head and its getting fucked with the mortgage later in addition to their spending that becomes a problem. The guy shouln't necessarily be able to afford a mcmansion, but a fucking house or at LEAST not require an additional roomate in an apartment or condo.

Yes and no. It's maybe good by older plane standards, but I've flown on one very much like that one and the noise really is unbearable. If you want to fly comfortably on LTT's budget you book a first class ticket with an actual airline.

Liked the dude. I guess linus was not willing to up his salary(crazy in my opinion) , and with him saying he cannot afford a home, i wonder what he was getting paid lol.

They're in Vancouver too, which has absolutely beyond insane housing costs, rivaled only by Seattle a few hours South. You need well over $130k/yr to buy a home there (junior software engineering salary), which his long time staff should have been making considering they probably do 3x the work of the average jr software dev.

but that he'd rather have to re-hire or get someone else up to speed to do the same work and of course there's the downtime that comes with that, and simply having zero care about his bloated mess of a company.
Has LTT hired new people? They will likely not replace any of the people who've left. The company is too bloated as it is. People leaving saves them needing to have a layoff and pay severance.

I'm glad he didn't go the Alex angle and try to blame Steve/GamersNexus (although he briefly showed the video thumbnail). He also didn't throw Linus under the bus and you could tell he tried to stay positive, which I guess is important for the shitty public world that is YouTubers today. No one is really going to talk about how bad it probably is there, or how much money Linus is hording for himself.

A lot of people on YouTube are relying a lot on advertising/sponsorship. I doubt even a quarter of their income comes from Patreon. He showed his massive list of sponsors at the end. I'm wondering when this sponsorship/youtube bubble is going to burst. At some point, it's not going to be enough to keep laying off people. When no one can afford to buy any electronics, there's pretty much no point in sponsoring any videos. I wonder if we'll see the beginning of the YouTube bubble this year ... and by years end, we'll see JayZ, LTT, Steve selling off massive piles of old electronics to pay the bills and weather the storm.

No idea, but it still means having someone or multiple people take over the role, which means downtime while they figure out how to do a competent job.

Blaming GN for him not getting a pay raise? lol, that'd be one hell of a stupid excuse. Even without being public youtube people, burning bridges and unnecessarily shitting on a previous employer just isn't a good look regardless of what you're planning on doing, unless Linus was a literal slavedriver or doing some illegal shit and that would be whistleblowing at that point.

It's not like the guy doesn't "deserve" money with the company he's built, but yes it seems that a bunch of younger staff have grown up and grown out of doing shit for him for crap pay realizing it wasn't getting them anywhere, all the while their boss isn't just buying a house, cars, etc. But is actually buying houses, cars, discussing buying a boat, ending up with a private jet, and discussing how he can make his lackeys do a bunch of shitty work for him on his toys likely still on their base pay whatever that happens to be. Anyone with a brain would eventually get fed up with that shit. Sure fine, the boss has his mansion with a pool and a couple of porsches, but it would be different if you're expected to go there to do work for him once a month to shoot more video for him to make more money off of meanwhile you're getting paid fuck all.

Jayz seems to run smaller 2-4(?) people behind the camera so I doubt he's going to need to sell assets. Even if he bought 100% everything on videos, like 20x RTX 5090s to bin for XOC video or whatever it's still cheaper than LTT.

Steves hired 4-6 ppl and bought autistic lab setup where he's spent like 100k - 1mil but he's got viewer patreon money and functional merch store with GN antistatic mats, coasters etc so he's a lot less dependent on youtube shitting the bed at this point.

Meanwhile LTT gotta sell a lot of screwdrivers / Noctua rebrand fans to keep afloat.

Why the fuck does he need a fucking trijet? and a 26 year old one, is he flying weekly flights to france or spain with 12 people?

Look at the fucking operational cost, 3-4 years and he will spend more cash paying for gas and maintenance that the entire purchasing price of this plane.
:story:

He's a gigantic moron, why the fuck not lease one or pay for a charter service? it's far cheaper, you only see people who actually need to fly to several dozen countries a year like musicians or sport stars actually owning one, everyone else just charters one.

While I agree that it seems to be a dumb decision to buy an entire jet for some reason, there's a good chance he'll rent it out to charter companies when he isn't planning on using it to offset the maintenance and other costs. A lot of jet owners do that because most people don't use their jets consistently enough to justify not doing that.

Now, the decision to buy a jet to begin with is the big question; and from every angle it looks super retarded. Kinda like buying another house, or funding a tech lab, or [insert every decision Linus has made with his company].

Its in the owning companies name, Influencer Air. He's going to sell flights on it, not just use it himself.

To all those obviously super wealthy tech influencers who want luxury travel and are also based in Vancouver. I do think he's got illusions of making it better suited for tech people as they travel, but anything more advanced than "I put satellite internet and an editing workstation in the plane" is beyond what anyone on a plane might even want. And he's not gonna get a premium price out of them for it either, any influencer who can afford a premium jet flight has on staff editors so they don't have to work like a dog on a continental flight.

and with him saying he cannot afford a home, i wonder what he was getting paid lol.
Linus is married to a penny pinching chink so you bet he was getting paid the bare minimum that they can legally get away with in Canada.
What's the minimum in Canada for some tech support guy? I guess he gets paid 5% more. He said infrastructure and IT work, and that LTT denied his request for a wage increase.
wagie.png
My guess would be 76-77k.

The average price for a 2 bedroom apartment in Vancouver is 730-850k (Canadian).
https://condos.ca/vancouver/2-bedroom-apartments-for-sale?beds=2-2,2.1-2.9
His 77k isn't going to afford him a home in Vancouver, period. It's not even fucking close. He'll have to make double that assuming a 5%-10% deposit, and assuming they're paying him slightly above the average wage.

If he wants to own a home, he needs to get the fuck out of Vancouver. 150k a year is high income, dude's 25 and by 35 he's not gonna make 150k a year in a stagnant job.

He really should have cashed out when that guy offered to buy LTT. He might protest that he's protecting his creative freedom from corporate takeover or whatever, but it's clear to everyone that he's just such a faggot now.

It's a better version of his stupid tech yacht idea, as it might get use instead of just being something to make content in while sitting at a pier going nowhere for months at a time.
