I have a sneaking suspicion that this hire is connected to his Asian hiring shenanigans. Every time you see background Asians in the computer dungeons it’s always a different group working “editing” or what have you. I think he’s doing some visa farming or some shady shit hiring below local salaries. Hence the constant rotating cast of background nobodies and the need for a dedicated headhunter.

I watched and I enjoyed the video.

Jake didn't sounded like an ADHD zoomer like during his time on LTT or some of his videos and I found funny that the reason that he got mad over the LTT revenue video was that they blamed on capitalism, instead of them.

Also, I wonder if Linus will get mad that Luke is still friends with him. I would say that if he do in the future what he's saying he want to, his channel could become something that would be a hybrid of Level1 and GN and could be interesting

Laughable reasons considering how Linus tries to be "good guy Linus". I can also really understand how working on Linus' third house while having almost no pay increase would be extremely frustrating.

For the time he has spent there and the knowledge alone one how the company functioned and the roles he has taken on he should have been payed more and also been valued more.

LMG has just turned into another faceless company that tries to treat their employees as shittily as possible without them leaving to squeeze out a bit more revenue. But it seems that they have overstepped a line considering how many people are leaving.

I also wouldn't be surprised if there are quite a few other people that are at least considering leaving.

Liked the dude. I guess linus was not willing to up his salary(crazy in my opinion) , and with him saying he cannot afford a home, i wonder what he was getting paid lol.

That's the most normal and non-annoying Jake has been in a video. I don't know if he's hiding his faggotry in this video, or if LTT bombards people with faggot rays. This could be why Tranthony trooned out finally (and lol for Jake calling him "Emily"). But the way he takes selfies like a woman in the opening, that's making me think he's just trying to hide the gay right now because he wants money and subscribers.

But it doesn't ignore the fact he was incredibly annoying in the LTT videos, especially when he's the writer supervisor or whatever, and that all his annoying little tweeks to the technology in the videos he would do was also annoying. Now, you could easily say that was his way to getting back at Linus for doing all this work on a home he'll never afford while also never getting a raise, but the final product speaks louder than whipping out a "I didn't want to make this video but I want money so here's why I quit." I'd respect him more if he wasn't trying to act like it pains him to do this.

Just go "yeah, I got older, realized my worth, LTT didn't like that, I'm starting a channel help me out if you like what I do."

I will mention that Linus not even offering a counter-offer to the raise request is fucking nigger killing a delivery driver cold for someone who worked there for 10 years and was often your right hand.

Even a shitty counter offer would be better than none. It's not even necessarily about giving a shit about this guy that quit(especially if it was just that he was going to quit and didn't have something already lined up for Linus to provide a counter to), but that he'd rather have to re-hire or get someone else up to speed to do the same work and of course there's the downtime that comes with that, and simply having zero care about his bloated mess of a company.

Speaking of which, if Luke and Linus bought a plane... holy shit Luke is a fucking idiot. Not too long ago the guy was still living in an apartment with his girlfriend and another roommate. How the fuck can you not even be bothered to make sure one of your first employees and one of your C level execs for your primary business and one of your subsidiaries can't even afford a house and you're buying a fucking 35 year old private jet?
 
Jake was whiny in a lot of the video but the middle third is good.
I would be pissed if I was in his spot too at Linus blaming capitalism to weasel away from personal choices.
Linus, the man complaining about capitalism, living a life of luxury with multiple homes, and now a plane, while shilling disposable chinesium garbage, refused to raise the salary of an employee (who he most likely exploited monetarily due to being a stupid teenager for steeply discounted and free labor) that had worked with them for over 10 years during the time of PEAK inflation (which is even fucking worse in Canada).

Yeah, I can totally see him getting butthurt over Linus building yet another house for himself while he’s getting peanuts. But if you’re in your early 20s and can afford two V10 BMWs and keep them running, then maybe your money situation isn’t that bad. Please get your priorites straght or at least don’t whine about not being able to afford a house when you’re buying money pits like these.
