I think it is highly likely Greer thinks he is entitled to being protected from any socially awkward moments at work or even entitled to friendship with his coworkers. The women distancing themselves from him is "bullying" in his mind.

It wouldn't be surprising if they were making fun of Greer for talking about brothels in the break room and Greer is trying to make it about disability because it is easier to say "I am a poor disabled man being unfairly bullied for my disability I have no control over." instead of "They were making jokes to cope about being very uncomfortable about the talk of sex and brothels in the break room."

Also, that is a retarded cite to make. He claims he didn't modify the contract, but makes a cite about contract modification. He says it's about "improper threat", but having actual lawyers give an opinion that your emails are blackmail is neither improper, nor a threat.

IANAL and I don't know if I found the correct Restatement here, but I think this is what he's referring to:

Restatement Second Contracts 175: When duress by threat makes a contract voidable.
  1. If a party's manifestation of assent is induced by an improper threat by the other party that leaves the victim no reasonable alternative, the contract is voidable by the victim.
  2. If a party's manifestation of assent is induced by one who is not a party to the transaction, the contract is voidable by the victim unless the other party to the transaction in good faith and without reason to know of the duress either gives value or relies materially on the transaction.

Every Restatement 175 link I found is talking about forcing assent to a contract, not modification. The remedy is allowing the victim to void the contract. But Russ isn't assenting to a contract, and he isn't trying to void it. He's citing this to try to back out of his backing out of negotiations, while claiming "he never truly meant to withdraw". I don't think that counts as assent to a contract, which "requires that each party either make a promise or begin or render a performance".

I guess that's nitpicking a puddle in a dumpster full of garbage, but still. Russ can't get any citations right, ever, and someone has to parse through his stupid filings if the judges won't.

Holy cow, that was a great read. Too many classic Greer instances to list here - so, so many. And I'm delighted he includes all that correspondence that directly reveals his assertions to be lies and dramatic mischaracterizations.

Another stunning case of Greer's hubris snatching massive defeat ftom the jaws of minor success.

"Help me help you" is also a classic corporate approach with an employee who's been messing up. Sometimes sincere, sometimes a trap; always documented.
