The strangest part is that even when telling the story on her channel (in the 2018-2019 timeframe), she still framed it as a hot romance. She said she never thought of the guy as a pedo until she saw people calling him that in her comments. Even in her mid-thirties she wasn't seeing it for what it was!

This nature vs. nurture discussion pops up frequently in the thread. I am firmly on team Chantal is a Bad Seed. Having daddy issues could be used to excuse some rotten aspects of her character, but not all of them.

This is just his broken English way of saying "We have no electricity without your money"

She's going through the exact same shit she always does, every time she 'goes back' to Canada. I don't know how she manages to forget every single time, meanwhile her channel is full of videos documenting this cycle.

During her April 2024 return to Canada she was taken to therapy by her Aunt, attended one session and said the therapist connected her to mental health resources in Kuwait (which she never used).

The level of self gaslighting is off the charts with how she acts brand new about this cycle.

Chantal is a fucking psycho, she's going back and forth on everything. I don't want to change, he knew what I was like, but also I'm trying to quit getting high, I know it's bad for me. All the cheating and crap, we decided to move on, but I would bring it up all the time. Just listening to her squeaky hamster wheel trying to parse out the last 3 years in real time is insanity and I'm not sure what mental disorder she has, but it could be anything and everything.

But now I'm convinced that she left only because his dad was flying into Syria and she's the biggest pussy on the planet. Sure, she also didn't get along with his family; she hated his nosy aunties that judged her, and the little special needs kid that stole her food, but these are easily smoothed over with movies and KFG. Answering to his dad about why his only son had to flee Kuwait was not something Cowardly Chantal wanted to do.

This will be the arc for months unless he lets her back into Syria. It will be "look how sad I am, Salah!" streams.

But we're not getting full rages because she's still trying to persuade him. We'll only get a screaming pinky rage if he ghosts her for a couple days or she finds out he's remarried. Once she believes it's over, we'll get the abused wife who barely escaped getting honor-killed by his family.

He's going to milk her for money for a few months before ghosting her. He's still talking to her every day, just not as often as she wants. He'll probably send her a few texts during the down time on his own wedding day. It's money, baby.

99 percent of women would take that as proof he's lying. 32(?) yr old men do not commit to lifelong celibacy and singledom because of a break up. Even if he was super religious, they don't have celibate priests/monks in his culture. Imams are supposed to be married fathers.

But Chins takes it as truth for three reasons:

1) She thinks she's that special. She's not like the other girls, you guise. She's one of a kind. After dating/marrying her, all other women are too inferior to love.

2) She's literally incapable of understanding the perspectives of other people. She never fully developed Theory of Mind. I'll die on that hill.

3) She wants it to be true. That's all it takes. She believed Nader when he said he wasn't having sex with Deedee after she already found out they'd been sharing a bed at night in the traphouse for weeks.

Cant quote @Clotso Coof but in regards to Theory of Mind, it can be taught later on

So like, what she could learn in therapy and what she should have picked up when taking Honors English or watching countless hours of true crime videos.

I think its goes beyond being unaware that knowing Person B might not know what Person C does, and they arent the same as me/Person A.

It would be interesting for her to see a neurologist. Not a social worker or therapist, or a psychiatrist who might do therapy but typically focuses on meds. There is something (not) going on in there.
