Kamala Harris is one of the worst people ever to attain national office, and since this seems to be the week that the mainstream press is turning on her, it seems like a great time to start a megathread.

No matter how decisively Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers are destroyed, they always come back for another crappy sequel. Kamala Harris’s 2020 race for the White House collapsed by the end of 2019. In 2024, she was clobbered by 86 electoral votes, losing every swing state to a guy who had been relentlessly demonized by the media for nearly a decade. Here she comes again: https://xcancel.com/Ronxyz00/status/1982076389852360984

Cackala: “I am not done.” If your Thanksgiving feast comes out of the oven as done as this turkey, you may have to fall back on leftovers.

BBC: “You write very powerfully.” With this, one could rest the case against this cartoonishly neoliberal, coercively funded propaganda platform. Yet even the Beeb understands the unelectably unlikeable Commiela would lose miserably again.

Yet again, Cackles is framed as the woman candidate, as if only misogyny could explain voting against this conspicuously incompetent DEI hack. Sticking with the tired out tactic of bullying voters with shitlib arguments makes about as much sense as a Harris 2028 campaign.

The interviewer is just rubbing into Kamala's face how little of a chance she has:
When you look at the bookies' odds, they put you as an outsider even behind Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Very big oof. Kamala looks hopeless and dismayed

She's clueless and totally bought in on her astroturfed hype. Her own campaign workers were talking about how her internal polling never had her winning on Pod Save America days after the election.

The party is truly rudderless if she's still being allowed to posture the way she does. And she still doesn't make a compelling case for her candidacy, no rallying point or cause beyond "not Trump" which failed. Miserably. At least the DSA clowns have a platform, a shit one that won't win nationally but one nonetheless.

And apparently Karine Jean-Pierre is on her own book tour. With predictable results.

days after the election.
I haven't seen that interview (or every watched that podcast, for that matter), but the atmosphere in the weeks after the election there was so much freedom for insiders to point out that Dems had to ditch woke. From what I see, those people have now either 1) left the dems quietly, 2) done a mea culpa and went back to the cult, 3) are still trying and are also branded far right

An interesting example is how Ezra Klein's Abundance (book) was welcomed to be discussed immediately after the elections. Within six months you had liberals calling him a Trump supporter and nazi.
Agree with him or not, his main idea is that you need less complex, process-heay regulations. In other words, less middle management and paper pushers. This is a unifying message.
But no. The left crucified him because he does not denounce corporations and millionaires.

Incredible. She seems to have become even stupider since the election. She was already a zero, now she's below even that.

Hilldawg's retardation has been confirmed multiple times, most recently in a NYP/Tulsi Gabbard report from this past July.
They found the Frazzledrip video!???!

I looked through the book today at the library.

This was my favorite quote I found. Kamala is a TERF! :christine::tomgirl:
What's truly amazing about this is that she follows a quote from her mother about not letting other people say who she is by narrating how she abjectly refused to stand up and tell everyone who she is. She lets someone else saying who she is go completely uncontested because...well, who would believe that guy, right?

...right?

There was a lot of push during the election to make Kamala insta-popular by the Dems like they had done with Hil-dog and Obama.

I think its interesting that in all these interviews the only thing anyone cares about is the fact she maybe sorta thought Joe might be a bit incapable. But shes dances around talking about herself so damn much that these broadcasters cant even use anything else.

It seems like she doesnt even understand that she lost by hiding out half of her limited time. Then crashed into burning flames any time she did an interview after.

Because, I think, she's going to be the chink in the armor. She was a terrible candidate with a weak public persona and an even thinner cover story, and people seem to think her talking is blood in the water, just need one good hit to make her crack.

She either had to know there was something wrong with Biden (and literally did jack shit about it in the four years she was his VP), or if she didn't, she's blisteringly incompetent, and it is fascinating watching her squirm about it either way. I suspect she thinks that if she ever said Biden was incompetent, it would kill her political career.

EDIT: In thinking about it, I especially think she's trying to rewrite history considering how visible JD Vance currently is. In the matching talk about Trump and Biden being old, there's a clear succession plan, and she was either not a part of the one for Biden (if there was one), or she was just a lazy asshole that thought all she needed to do was show up and the job was hers. In terms of VP performance, Vance is eating her lunch, and there's no way she doesn't know it.

She's not exactly wrong, particularly if you've been paying attention to Meghan Markle: if you aim for the Queen, in this case, King, you best not miss. If you miss, you don't get another chance.

It's still sort of like trying to get Jussie Smollett admit to lying about the incident. Even if he knows that the world knows he's a damned liar and complete moron, he still has to stick by the story.
It seems like she doesnt even understand that she lost by hiding out half of her limited time. Then crashed into burning flames any time she did an interview after.
That's the thing about being a DEI hire. It's a nasty psychological game. You're surrounded by people who, even with guns to heads, would never tell you that you set a foot wrong. So, anyone who dares tell you that you might have an issue is someone who - even if you are extremely aware you might have a problem - still feels like an unfair attack to your person. The space you occupy is filled with only good opinions. Once a negative one enters your space, your nervous system goes haywire.

So, it's easier to hide away from the negativity and pretend it's just people being haters, keep your head down, grind away, and hope that whatever you did was good enough to get you to the next step.

I'm not saying she's a good person. She's lied a metric fucking ton to get where she is. But when you are a DEI hire, it does fuck up your sense of what's real and what isn't in terms of how you're perceived.

EDIT: I think a lot of where she is now, aside from the thing with Vance is a lot of trying to prove she wasn't a DEI hire. Most people probably would act the same way. It does suck to wonder if you are where you are because you're competent, or because you're a pawn in someone else's game. And if the latter, you start to wonder that about everything in your life. Not a great place to be.

She must have a humiliation fetish or something.
Well, she is the frontrunner for 2028. That is more of a commentary on the abysmal state of the Democrat pool of candidates (something users like @Jaimas has discussed in detail before) than it is on her strength as a candidate.

And a large part of what's helping her is that she's got the largest national profile among the black voters. As I mentioned before, Newsom's polling with blacks has always been a weak point. It's why he decided to go out and embarrass himself recently in Atlanta. Only candidate who performs worse with black voters is Buttigieg and, well, everyone knows why that is but the Democrats refuse to say it out loud. Frankly, the Democrat field is perfect for a Trump-esque outsider to come and take it.

Even if Kamala becomes the 2028 Democrat candidate, she's still going to need to run the first competent campaign of her life. So good luck there.
