Edit: I know I'm a little late to edit this, but I had some feelings I wanted to express that I didn't want to get buried in the sea of anger. Political violence is becoming normalized in our country, and that really bothers me. We have a lot of desperate, confused young men that don't know where to direct their anger. That don't have a voice.

The reality is, the system is broken, and has been for a very long time. The cost of housing, healthcare, and education have continued to soar in relation to median wages year after year, decade after decade. The youth really have no idea what it was like before 2008. Before Covid, even. All they know is how difficult it is to achieve the same standard of living their parents and grandparents achieved by upholding their end of the social contract.

Its not normal that a basic home in the 'burbs costs half a mil, while making "6 figures" is still some kind of accomplishment. Its not normal that we are straddling young people in a mountain of debt just to get an education. It's not normal that average senator is a senior citizen, old enough to collect social security.

Young people should be angry about the state of our nation. The state of the world. But taking pot shots at talking heads and politicians is not the solution. Violence is not the solution.

You can call me a fag, a pussy, or whatever you want. But please, take a deep breath, and a step back. This is not the start of a civil war. We don't know all the facts yet, but this is almost 100% another confused young man with mental health issues that had no idea where to put his anger. No healthy place to put his anger. Now, a man is dead. A woman is widowed. Two young children will have to grow up without their father. If we don't have a discussion right now about why our society is producing so many of these lunatics, it will only get worse. I do not want America to turn into a lawless nation. I do not want a culture of violence.
