Beyond just paying the Poonslave to run the Ferret Mines, it should also be noted that ferrets are extremely expensive to care for. They need specialized food due to being obligate carnivores, they get Ultra Turbo Cancer if you breathe on them wrong, and vet bills for them cost literal thousands of dollars since they're considered exotic pets. In fact, many of the ferrets in the Rescue are owner surrenders, people who found that out the hard way and realized they were materially unable to keep caring for their ferrets.
Expenses for Mald's ferrets must be even worse since many of them are old, sick, or injured (just by nature of them being rescues), meaning vet visits are extremely frequent. Also because there are sixty-two of them. Now he's in the process of spending one million dollars to build a new facility that will hold 250 ferrets and nearly quintuple his recurring expenses.
What's his backup plan if the tank starts shrinking? What if the Burrito Index gets too low? What if his viewer and follower counts start rapidly falling because of a wave of bad PR?

He'll always have his dad's money, but I dunno how willing he is to let mald splurge on his literal pet project. Complete bullshitting ahead, but my estimate is that even without any other source of revenue, he, with his current savings from the last 2 years AND his father's inheritance left to him(probs between 10-20 mil usd), has enough money to run the 250 ferrets+million dollar facility for atleast a few years, tho maybe less if he keeps paying 10-15 jannies. The question becomes will his father and brother let him spend.
 
Personally I hope it's true that he pays all his jannies big salaries while also paying out the ass for a million dollar ferret sex dungeon and whole cows he stores in a freezer, while also constantly losing subs because the broker he gets the more my happiness rises.

Shaye has always been counted as separate employees when he talks about things and then there's that clip of her saying what she's paid isn't much and it goes back to Mald anyway.

Got all the numbers in for the GigaTrain!
You guys amassed a total of $75,000 it was slightly less so I rounded it up.
Half of the GigaTrain comes out to $37,500

We currently have a staff size of 15 not counting me.
This split evenly for all staff members come out to $2,500
This bonus will be applied to everyone in the org outside of myself.
The payments will go out at the end of this month.

For the other $37,500 it will be applied towards the ferret rescue.
I'm putting together all of the cash to make sure we have enough for construction.
Still waiting on the contractors and county to come to terms.

So Mald took in money with the idea it's for employees and ferrets... but he gets the lion's share of that and says it's for his ferret hoard. Did that go into a ferret hoard fund or was it in any way separate from his personal income? We'll never know and everything indicates it's effectively income.

Mald, the corpo shill, is painting a hefty bonus for himself and peanuts for his employees as a noble thing when his personal cut was more than 10x as much as the employees.
