Unless 4K makes the games good then yeah, it's pointless.

It is a noticable jump, without a doubt, but when your £700 console has to use software jewry to make 4k possible, then it isn't worth the price...

How is 8K pointless? It's a noticeable jump in image quality compared to 4K, especially on a computer monitor. I can understand prioritizing frame...

Somehow, resolution affects frame rate. And these consoles (or the games) cannot handle 4K 60fps despite it being a selling point.
