Notch is in LA right now so it seems like a bunch of west-coast "gamedevs" are trying to suck up to him, in the hopes that some of his cash will fall out of his pockets and they'll be nearby to pick some of it up.

What point is Devi trying to make here? Just because you throw a few bucks at someone's Patreon doesn't mean you're obliged to continue supporting "creative" folks forever. I suspect a lot of people eventually start avoiding that whole community after they realise the majority of people on Patreon just want money for nothing and are never going to produce anything.
 
Devi then claims that people are pointing out her swinging moods as a way to pander to patreon dollars and then says that notable sjw left her when she voiced her opinion which resulted in a loss of $300 a month in funding. 7 hours later, shills for more money.
I remember when the patreon dollars started to drop and she blamed her outspokenness. It had nothing to do with her not actually providing anything to her patreon supporters and still not having finished a game.
Is she on her 3rd or 4th Patreon development game that that is being rewarded with update builds and her 'art' which is texta on cardboard boxes looking at the images.
I think the concept of End Of The Month approaching and needing to get some money together really shows with her activity. Lick notchs toes for crumbs, RT artists and gamedev who she used to talk smack about or "troll" where they are clearly talented people who have just spent more time creating than being on twitter.com trying to cash in on the latest buzzwords.

The pattern is continuing along course. Money is getting scarce, so devi has chosen her latest micro-campaign (like Devi's pile of started-but-never-fnished games, it's prob not goiong to turn into a full-on campaign) against someone who successfully did what Devi aspired to, but failed.

The milk will run sour soon enough, Devi is the one person who can take gold and turn it into sewerage with little to no effort. I've seen this sort of thing before -- usually with members of the Rat King. I suspect when they donate middling amounts to one another, it's analogous in their minds to buying a lottery ticket. That way if one of the people gets a steady job, or if one of them gets a large donation from an old college buddy to help with their transition, then you'll see all the "patrons" with their hands outstretched:

"I need to pay the light bill!"
"I'm going to be evicted if you don't cough up this month's rent! Remember, I supported you!"
"I need to pay a deposit on this futon, for me and 10 other T-Girls!" (Yes, somebody actually said that.)

Of course, the requests for money are going to be endless -- and when they run out of legitimate reasons, they'll make them up. It's sort of like mutually assured destruction -- or in this case, mutually assured poverty.

I wonder if this could be considered a form of gambling?
