I have a very hard time believing that the 'gains' offset the losses for this. Saying you're a pro-trans environment has got to alienate a large portion of the people you're trying to get in because these dudes don't want a vagina anywhere near them or miss how do you do my fellow gays trying to make small talk. They don't outnumber your desired clientele and actively deter them. All the other models here are physically fit men and then you've got Miss paunchy lady belly in a sports bra with kate goslin hair, it's so offputting.

So what if they feel welcomed and safe? Are they paying for entry or long term membership? Obviously not if she's the most 'fit' and 'attractive' Tif you could find.

There's no way economically this makes sense.

Because doing the opposite (affirmation) or being apathetic is the reason why we are in this fucked up timeline. People, especially LGB people, are tired of having to duck and dodge entitled troons who invade already scarce spaces and make dating harder than it already is. At some point, people are going to reach a threshold were they can longer play along with your delusions out of politeness and start telling you how it really is.

I downloaded the app and logged in a while back. It's totally possible to be anonymous on it. You create a unique profile/username for any of the groups (giggles) you join. I didn't use it past signing up, creating profiles, and looking at it.

Back when I first messed with it, it was pretty clunky. I checked again just now and it seems smoother/more polished. There's no dark mode (my eeeeyes). Idk why apps designed by women tend to not be great. Not enough male software design autism I guess. Ovarit the website is actually the first women-made service/site I am aware of that doesn't suck.

I have to say, I just hate the name of the app. I can't name exactly what is wrong with it, since giggling is certainly a thing and women are free to do so, but naming an app and groups "giggles" sounds like naming the app "ditzy" and naming the group "ditzes." It's very infantilizing, maybe.

Props to the woman who made it for sticking with it though, despite the avalanche of criticism she's gotten from every angle. Not many people can say "fuck off" like that.

I used the app for a short while and was completely spammed with "likes" and friend requests by a few troons and no matter how many times I blocked them they reappeared. It would have been one thing to have to swipe through the enormous amount of hideous troons but when they can harass you without a match and you can't block them it was way too annoying and so I've deleted it.

AGPs often seem even more male in their obvious “how do you do fellow lesbians” coomer writing than they LOOK. They have even less idea how women speak, especially about sexual matters and especially with or about other women, than they do about how we look and how little they look like us.

And HER et al make much more sense when you consider the purpose of the app is to provide AGPs access to lesbians. They don’t want women to have a choice. The company would be thrilled if they could force lesbians to service any troon that wanted them.

I mean taking away a woman’s ability to say no? Isn’t that what they’re doing when they unblock troons women have blocked? Forcing that woman to interact with a sexually aggressive man who wants her, despite her unwillingness? Troons are incels and all incels dream of being assigned a girlfriend who cannot say no.

What's hilarious is that you can see the other models in that shot all took part in a NSFW photoshoot (including some local celebs like Dr. Steven "Leander" Di Costa, porn star/neuroscientist) but there's not a single feature of Aiden here. They must have literally spent a solid few hours shooting and then just hurridly wheeled her in for one shot. This appears to have been a photoshoot they did a couple of years ago to promote a renovation (the fully clothed ones seem to be a more recent photoshoot).

They're in the heart of the gay village so they probably are trying to get positive press as welcoming and inclusive, but beyond a neon sign saying "Every Body Is Beautiful" and one photo in one photoshoot, I doubt they'd do anything serious. I even doubt most trans men would want to go there, because a fat cis man would probably get bullied (and a binder in a sauna is asking for heatstroke).

These windows are also on Prowler rather than the sauna itself, which is a sex shop that sells packers and the like, so they might have asked Sweatbox if they could use the Aiden pic. I don't think this is anything other than a little moneyspinner.
