Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

But Biden told me everything was fine
 
Since we now know that American blood has been spilled, how do you think Biden and friends will use the incident? Will it be used as a causus belli to pursue more military action under the visage of "retribution"? Or will it just make them slink even further back with their tail between their legs, going so far as to distance themselves even more from those still trapped over there? I'm vouching for the latter, though I think my question would imply that Biden and friends were competent enough to actually act in the face of a crisis, which of course, they're not.
