I mentioned it in the separate Jasper thread, but I'll bring my tinfoil hat over to the main one as well.

I think Phil lied about the timeline of Jasper being sick because he's used to big Saturday begathons. But, his actual begathons aren't hitting the tips goal, and his grand scheme of starting a hat streak fizzled out, so he decided to pull out the sick cat card. He mentioned that Jasper had previous UTI's, and others confirmed that what he was describing matched up.

But none of the details Phil was saying added up. The only day the vet could see him just so happened to be Phil's day off. Phil was late to stream because he had to clean up cat pee, but I guess Jasper stopped once Phil started streaming? The same Phil who looks for any excuse not to stream, and this would be the one rare instance of something valid actually happening and he doesn't take it. It also doesn't make sense how Khet is seemingly unable to do anything to help Jasper.

Plus, it's Phil. He's not exactly known for telling the truth. Dude claimed his parents were dying to scam money for his vacation, where during said vacation, he made his parents pay for his wedding. Not to mention all the times he's insisted he'll lose his house if people don't give him money. To me, this just seemed like Phil desperately wanting another big weekend paycheck, but having a rare moment of self reflection where he realized that his "genius" plans of playing a game for slightly longer or wearing a hat aren't going to cut it.
 
A bunch of Twitch streamers are boycotting the platform on September 1st, to call attention to Twitch's inability to stop people raiding streams with the intent to antagonize and post slurs in chat.

I was about to say DSP should talk about this and join in but then I remembered he was kicked out of the partner program for using hateful slurs himself.

Hearing a man who does nothing but play games all day every day and still struggles to do stuff like enter his name or save his progress properly so confidently diagnose a cat with a UTI and how to treat it is fucking frightening.
