I agree with you completely on that. Derich and Jackie will undoubtedly do something stupid. Jackie has already shown to coom to people he knows in real life and has subsequently been blocked by most of them. None of the whores which I've seen either coom to have been shown to be normal and I agree with your assessment on them. The thing which is in Derich's favor however is that the parents have put an effort to put him in the Air Cadets and have had him play basketball and other things like that. Though unlike Barb, I do feel that Jackie's mom does care a lot about him, it's just that she's old, has to work, and Jackie's sister takes precedence, so she lets him do his thing while takes cares of her daughter. These are clearly excuses for her, but it's clear that many parents of autists don't bother to check what their retarded children are doing online so Jackie and Derich's parents are just part of that group.

The thing that baffles me about Derich is that he's knowledgeable enough to know when he's simply named on twitter. Depends really and what I'm throwing out here are just theories as to why they don't know:
1) His parents are boomers and don't ever use technology nor care about social media

2) If they do use the internet, then it might not even be google, but rather baidu (Chinese google) and baidu doesn't turn up anything when you type in Derich. I put this as an option because I dated a Chinese girl and her parents (from China) still only used the Chinese apps like wechat and baidu and as such, hardly ever used google. Derich's parents might be the same way
