I'm gonna go against the grain for a minute and come ahead to defend the trans people getting uppity about misgendering Chris.
Chris is an awful human being. Chris has done unspeakable things and needs to be committed to a mental ward. But I do see where trans people come from when they get upset about misgendering her.
A lot of these people are just otherwise nice, regular human beings who happen to be trans. They don't want their identity to be miscontrued. When somebody who has done bad things adopts a gender identity, regardless of what they've done, disrespecting what that person identifies as would effectively be a personal insult since it implies anybody can be ignored for what they identify as.
I'm not gonna expect anybody else here to really care, or even agree with me on this, but I personally feel discussing and belittling somebody shouldn't lead to throwing shade on a community they're a part of. That's all.
