This is the fault of a lack of social safety net in the US. Of course Chris and Barb shouldn't live together completely unaided by the government, they can't look after themselves. This isn't even a lolcow™ moment, this is just sad.

Regardless of what has happened, we know now that there is a good chance - outside someone getting him to say this - that Chris at the very least has fantasies of having sex with the old woman he lives with. A woman who, just like Chris, is vulnerable. At worst she has been repeatedly raped in her own home by her son, at best she is at risk of it.

It's as if Barb and Bob should have engaged with authorities in order to deal with a Chris, instead of playing pretend he would ever be normal.

But if nothing was happening then wouldn't Chris and his mom have shoo-ed away the police during the wellness check? why would they almost immideatly tell Chris to gtfo and send the mom for a check up? was she that much of a vegetable?
