The authorities still have to investigate either way. Just because it's being investigated doesn't mean that it's real or not. We just have to wait to see what the police and hospital say about it.

Even if it was just something he was prompted to say or dumb enough to make it up out of some half-brained autistic scheme he had in mind, I could honestly still see him not recognizing the gravity of the situation he's in right now and repeating it on record when visited by the social workers, which in turn would have been enough to have him removed from the house and his mom taken for examination, and quite possibly enough to have her removed from his care for good just for being fucked up enough to make up stories about sexually abusing her for a month

But this is Chris Chan and I legitimately see this being true. We ought to find out if and when he's formally arrested for rape once they're done screening her. No way is this going cold like Byuu's "suicide" did, Christory is in the making here
 
... So I guess this means no cartoon horse convention trip?

I haven't paid attention to Chris in so long I almost forgot he existed, but this is certainly an unexpected plot twist.
