You get sentenced to a day in jail for unpaid parking tickets, appeal it, and are found insane? You could be locked in a hospital for 50 years until you're found 'mentally competent' and released. On the flip side, you could be a serial killer/mass shooter who's committed, but takes your meds and acts all nice. Regardless of your crime, you'd be out in a couple years. In 2008 in Canada, a schizophrenic man decapitated a dude sitting next to him on the bus and proceeded to gouge out and eat his eyes. He was found insane. He (Vince Li) took his meds in hospital and did some volunteer work; he walked out 5 years later with zero restrictions or supervising. This is all totally different than the penal system.

I don't think Chris saying "and shit" (etc) is a sign it's fake - he talks differently in private vs YouTube, Twitter, etc.

Obviously it'll take time to piece together where the clips are coming from.

Would take a lot of effort to cut audio like this, this smoothly. I'm not saying that its impossible, but cutting audio together like this isn't that easy, especially if you're going through multiple videos, finding the appropriate pauses, and getting more consistent tones. You also have the issue that there will be additional innovations gradually fading out, after individual words are spoken (hence, why when someone splices together separate words from different audios, why it does seem jarring).

I'm in the camp that it would just be too much effort to create a fake audio like this. It could be the case, but you'd really have to stretch certain phases, eliminate white noise on certain recordings, track individual words, get that post-word innotation for several words to make them seem less jarring, etc. This quality of audiowork, if it is fake, it just way too much work to get into. The one thing that I'm actually pretty soundly convinced of is that the audio recording isn't a deepfake.

Yet that still sounds so ridiculous if you think about it. Barb is a trainwreck, I'm surprised she's lasting as long as she does. That woman hasn't thought about sex in 30 years, much less with Chris.

I have no idea if this is true and honest Chris content or not, but for all those suggesting it's fake on the basis that we have little or no evidence of Chris being violent or rapey over 20 years ofcareful documentation — you need to relisten to that audio.

Whatever the situation here, CWC clearly doesn't view this as a rape. Maybe she's not capable of something as heinous as that, but if she doesn't view what she's describing in the audio as such then she is for sure capable of doing it regardless of what the law, the internet or common decency might judge those actions to be.

CWC's brain is only loosely connected to reality at the best of times so using regular old moral standards to declare her incapable of something of this nature simply doesn't work. What she describes, she describes more as a seduction than something forced. I'm not sure she's capable of grasping that the power dynamic between her and her likely demented mother would make this morally or legally rape, so it's well within the bounds of possibility that she would try something like this.
