I remember following this story as it happened and it was very clear that the people who were doing it were goons/third-party trolls, yet when you spoke the reporter about it, you just kind of threw out the usual anti GamerGate rhetoric about misogyny and such. It's clear that you're smart enough and understand the internet enough to navigate this sort of information, so were you honestly concerned about GamerGate or were you just playing up the drama for attention?

BWu plays a particular "game" with the media where she is certainly aware that the people who doxxed her from Baphomet but lets people in the media believe that it was GamerGate supporters and this article reads like a similar situation.

Would you mind telling me about the trans communities you're a part of? I know this is an incredibly broad question and you've already mentioned LOLDRAMA in the past, but I'm honestly fascinated by a group of people so supportive and willing to look out for each other that they'll, well, put up with ADF's bullshit.

When it comes to those of us waist-deep in engaging with SocJus, there's a few kinds of Kiwi.

We've got a lot of people who by all accounts are pretty goddamned leftist. Like, in any normal world, they'd be pretty much right alongside you politically, but they were chased off their own communities by a bevy of lunatics, who will pillory you if you dare to object to anything they say or give critical analysis. I am someone who falls into this category, despite being a lifelong Democrat. In my case, I'm against Social Justice because I've seen the damage it can and will do to things I care about first hand, and I am having none of that. I am far from the only Kiwi like this.

We also have refugees and freedom fighters from Tumblr who enjoy that site and want it to see it kept as something other than an over-glorified, money-bleeding insular community that actively scares off the sane people, is responsible for shit like Zhane, IDCP, and especially the likes of Vade. Our own beloved @Meowthkip falls into this category.

We have people who recognize Social Justice as one of the greatest threats to online freedom in existence right now, recognizing it as something that, whilst it may have initially had noble goals, has become synonymous with proving Horseshoe Theory right and has an agenda that is actively doing legitimate damage to quite literally every community it encounters. It is pro-censorship, pro-corruption, anti-science, anti-intellectual, and, shockingly, falls into many of the same exact categories as the Moral Majority from the right about 20 years ago. Anything that Social Justice can successfully subvert can and will become nothing but a mouth-piece for said agenda, and there's now plenty of examples proving this correct, with more coming every single day. That Social Justice can explode over something like Shirtgate or Tim Hunt, but fucking ignore pedophiles and rapists like Sarah Butts and Laurelai Bailey speaks volumes. Several of our users fall into this category.

We have people who view Social Justice, with its rampant lunacy, blatant hypocrisy, and complete obsession with pushing Progressive talking points whilst at the same time, being giant assholes about it as being representative of every terrifying mis-step the left has taken in the last 20 years, and, as people on the right, believed these people were certifiably fucking insane ages before everyone else due to the left inherently being that way, and that everyone else is just catching up. They're wrong, but they're sure as hell right for feeling that way.

And finally, we have people who legit just hate SJWs. No honor in it, no nobility in it, they just fucking hate these people, for reasons that should be obvious, but if they're not, let me surmise it with an image from Lolcow Wiki:

So we have five (and likely more) disparate groups who have ample reason for disliking Social Justice and have a personal stake in seeing its uppance come. Despite different backgrounds, political ideologies, theories, nationalities, favorite snacks, genders, operating systems, etc, they're all pretty much chill with one another. Social Justice gave them ample reason to set aside their differences, and especially stop and laugh at something as one; from ADF to Vade, from Brianna Wu to IDislikeCisPeople, from Sophie LaBelle to Stray Sheep, they have plenty to go against.

The tragedy, of course, is that most of us realize that not everyone in Social Justice is a raging weal of idiocy. There's good people there too, but they're dramatically out-volumed and out-gunned by the insane. It came up a lot during the Chloe/Rani thread, but one has to wonder how many people making bad decisions that mestastasized into worse ones got there specifically because of pressure from the SocJus community. Its pressure is truly cult-like in scope and literally every major lolcow we've covered from it uses the exact same playbook with chilling and frankly horrifying effect.

I came in here expecting a lolcow's public seppuku as it engaged the Kiwis in an AMA and ended up fucking itself over, and left adding another person beside UncleSamPatriot and Half-Dude in the "Not entirely batshit crazy" category. Hope in humanity restored.

So, @Devi Ever, favorite video games? Least favorite?

Also, since you have dabbled in both SJWs and feminism before, I have to ask. Both of these groups complain a whole fucking lot about the misogyny of video games and how there's a lack of female representation and how all female characters are sexualized and all of that shit and I've always wondered... have either of those groups ever heard of Touhou?
