Lando! Go you good thing!Get fucked hambone.
What a sad fate for Williams; going from a title contender to a dumping ground for pay drivers. The problem Alpine have is they don't have any seats available for next season unless they have some.sort of get out clause in someone's contract. Alonso is there tol end of 22 season and Ocon til end of 24 season.
Its likely that winning the F2 is going to see him shunted as one of those who can't continue there and also can't get a seat in F1 as one isn't open.
Alpine might be able to negotiate his way into a Williams as even though they use merc engines they are technically independent of merc. All that China money and both Williams driver's contracts are up end of this season so it's not impossible. Plus Zhou and Aitkin are both rumoured to be on for a Williams drive next season.
That team got mismanaged so hard, they need the money to keep the team running, it seems. What a sad fate for Williams; going from a title contender to a dumping ground for pay drivers.
The stewarts must be on a purely Vodka-based diet, jfc.Stewards aren't content with giving out 5 second penalties to the entire field. Now they're investigating half the grid.

It's ok guys there were too many drivers so we let them get away with it, except Kimi he wouldn't share his vodka with us... https://www.fia.com/documents/season/season-2021-1108Stewards aren't content with giving out 5 second penalties to the entire field. Now they're investigating half the grid.

I used to root for Williams cuz they were privately owned, but now that Frank Williams is gone and they got bought, they are dead. No matter how much they try to respect their tradition, they have as much Williams DNA as Mercedes has BrawnGP. Now I'm ok with them dying out and either withdrawing or getting bought out by someone else. Those guys who bought the team should get a title sponsor and rename it already. That team got mismanaged so hard, they need the money to keep the team running, it seems.
Quite interesting, Latifi and Mazepin got a penalty for ignoring a double yellow, no one else did. And Räikkönen got a penalty for causing a collision, which I guess is appropriate, it was a pretty stupid mistake purely on his part... as much as I like the old finn, that was just not one of his finest moments. Thankfully, it wasn't in a points rank lol. It's ok guys there were too many drivers so we let them get away with it, except Kimi he wouldn't share his vodka with us... https://www.fia.com/documents/season/season-2021-1108
Pretty sure at somepoint this year I'll go on a rant about safe driving.
drivers and fans have got spoiled by tarmac runoffs. As ballsy and exhilarating as they are, round the outside moves like Perez's or Leclerc's should be seen as inherently risky.Meanwhile over at reddit

Or how about professional drivers stop trying to go down the outside of another car when the racing line dictates that gap is going to be a wedge.
Alonso still has a massive fanclub in Spain and he pretty much put the whole decision on where to go next to a twitter poll. F1 won the poll by a wide margin because delusional spaniards think he somehow can eek out a championship purely by his skill when he's in practice the guy who somehow makes the worst seat moves in F1. IMO he should have just gone for Indy and stay there until he's like 50 and only retire if he wins the 500.Things is that if he wins Formula 2, Alpine pretty much has no choice but to give him a ride next season (Since Formula 2 doesn't allow the champ of a previous season to return for the next season). But unlike Ferrari, who was able to put Mick in a Haas seat until they're ready to alienate either Leclerc or Sainz, Alpine doesn't have a B team they put the Chinaman in. Now if they had an Indycar team like McLaren or a Formula mEme team, they could put him there until Fernando is all good and ready to retire. Or has Alpine seen enough of Ocon and want to trade out the Frenchman for a Chinaman?
Another thing, how is Fernando not ready for retirement? The dude's 39 and already has his two world titles. Or is he trying to snag the most experienced F1 driver title away from Kimi?
