In Ireland they're floating the idea of giving the AZ and Janssen vaccines to younger people to get everyone done quicker, there are apparently talks with the national advisory board about getting them reapproved for under 50's. I havent heard anything about them being proven safe, mind, it's just a risk that politicians are willing to take.

Besides that, there's just been some crying about the Double Plus Ungood Delta variant, threats that they're not going to reopen more things as planned next month, and they were saying numbers had improved with the vaccination campaign but numbers are still being released daily so everyone can see that they've been stagnant for months.
 
The push to keep their emergency powers so they can continue abusing the fuck out of them is losing steam. Hold tight, we just gotta ignore the push for vaccines for another month until this variant bullshit dies down. They can't sustain it forever, and they will switch tracks to their next nefarious plan soon enough.

In the meantime glad as fuck I moved to a red state that is proactively not shutting down ever again. Just in case, I'm gonna laugh my ass off at all you blue state or foreign guys if they succeed at lockdown 2.0 the scary Delta coof. Be careful where you choose to live :shrugs:

I'm enjoying this, I really am. All those friends I never really liked and family members I couldn't stand - well I have bene given the gift of eternal excuses.

I pray and hope for the Echo and then Foxtrot strain, but really it will kind of cool to say I got hospitalized by Covid Foxtrot - so I guess I'll have to wait a month at this rate.. Foxtrot, it has a nice ring to it.

We probably already have the Foxtrot strain but it probably surfaced in some shit hole where no one visits so it never spread - like Alabama.

Big if true. If they were able to detect the virus via routine PCR tests, it means the virus is replicating in upper airways, which means it can spread easily. Apparently, "the most efficient vaccine" can't even stop viral shedding. I wonder how many asymptomatic vaccinated carriers Israel has and how quickly we will see selective immune escape from mRNA vaccines there.

I got a letter from the government
The other day, I opened and read it

Well, kind of.

I got a letter from the government the other day. I opened it, read it. They said I was vulnerable. They said I had IGNORED ALL PREVIOUS ATTEMPTS AT CONTACTING ME AND NOW IT REALLY IS TIME FOR YOU TO TAKE THIS SHIT SERIOUSLY! OR ELSE.

I don't remember getting any other such letters. It was a big envelope. Big bold print. Big bold colours. Very officious. I was wondering if I had Cancer and this was their way of letting me know after all the tests I have had done.

The wording was not messing about. They made it quite clear that I was in no way able to refuse. they were asking NICELY. But next time, and there would be a next time, they would not be so fucking NICE about it. Fuck.

It occurred to me, the suckers had authority

It reminded me of those threatening letters that you get from the BBC when they say they are opening an investigation in to you and they advise you what to do when they take you to court. Yeah right. Don't have a fucking TV. Even if I did, I wouldn't buy a loisence. Mate.

They said I was in a high risk group and had a good chance of dying if I got the coof. Not sure why. Maybe age. They didn't say. They also implied I might end up killing others. Just more fearmongering. That was the gist.

I tore the fucker up and put it in the bin.

And it was at that moment I resolved to never ever get the jab unless someone is holding me down or putting a gun to my head. They can fuck off with these tactics.

Pretty sure I did not get such a serious letter as that before. I would have remembered. I have had a couple SUGGESTING I should get the jab. I guess this is their way of upping the ante.

Fuck them. No way.

I do admit I wear a mask when I go to get my beers of an evening. But there is method to my madness. I like to see the hilarity that ensues when I (under my breath) say "I'm going to cut your tits off you little fucking slut" to the 18 year old cutie serving me behind the counter. And of course, no one really knows who said it because everyone is masked up. One day they will work out it is me, but for now, I'll take my jollies where I can find them.

Some day this war's gonna end...
