I'm not part of any such group, but you seem to be missing the point here, if the government starts the kind of shit that leads to civil war mark 2,(the militia types mostly want to be left alone and not have the government bothering them or people like them with various forms of tyranny, so they won't be starting it)they will be seen as the ones causing the problems. Food is transported from farms to markets by a supply chain that can be easily disrupted by a determined group of armed angry people, the feds do not have enough manpower to control the interstate highway system in the event of an uprising.
Militias will not be able to enforce laws during an event like this, true enough, but the government will be the one who takes the blame for a general breakdown in civil order. As far as the civil war is concerned, the only reason why we didn't have a protracted insurgency is because Lee and his army were allowed to peaceably surrender and the former confederates were largely treated with the proverbial kid gloves after the war was over. Without that, Sherman burning Atlanta to the ground could very easily have been one of the motivating factors for a prolonged guerilla war after the conventional civil war had ended.

The funny thing is that Sherman really didn't burn much, nor did he actually burn Atlanta to the ground. Atlanta was already on fire when he got there, because fleeing Confederates, he just let it burn. Also, northern Georgia was full of union supporters. A professor I had once, a Southerner, pointed out that you could take pre-war maps of the region Sherman marched through, and still find old, pre-war buildings standing a century and a half later. The psychological wounds that Sherman inflicted, however, were massive. It's why Southerners are still butthurt about it. Sherman didn't want to hurt your average southern farmer, he wanted the Plantation-class that wasn't suffering to feel pain. And much like our political elites on 1/6, the pain was far, far worse than the actual damage.
I don't think Sherman gave a shit if they made him a monster though, so long as it ended the war faster.

I know where you're coming from. I had my aunt from California visit me in Florida recently, and she says that she hates Newsom and likes DeSantis. My aunt says that several friends of hers lost their businesses and were put out on the street because of how Newsom handled covid, and she even told us about "Newsom rats" reporting on people breaking covid guidelines in California. And my aunt is probably the farthest left person in my paternal family; stranger things have happened.

Of course, it would be my patriotic duty to make sure I took pictures with geocaching on of the military convoy heading down the freeway and post them to Twitter with #SUPPORTOURTROOPS at the bottom.

Probably would be more efficient to just blow up the fuel depot (could just use drones wired with explosions to do the trick maybe or sneak in at night) or alternatively attacking whichever facility is responsible for producing jet fuel or disrupting whomever is responsible for transporting jet fuel to bases. You'll just have a bunch of sitting ducks with no fuel.

Who needs to blow up the depot? What happens if the fuel is adulterated?
Logistics is one of those things people really need to study. It's arguably a modern military's weakest point. No fuel for the tank? It goes nowhere. No spare parts for the F-16? Hope it doesn't fall out of the sky. Limited ammo (or worse, none) for troops? They ain't gonna be fighting much.
And this would be the U.S. military, that our so called betters are currently purging of all competent soldiers, right? The ones who are less interested in pronouns and more interested in getting the mission done, they're getting shown the door. Yeah, what's that gonna leave?
