Another fun stream.
Besides the plant updates, you could also make the quick movie review a regular thing. I downloaded and watched this movie after seeing it on your stream. It's current year garbage and if you treat it as such, it becomes quite fun.
On a side note, do you live in an old building or something? Old commie blocks and commie houses usually don't have AC. Modern buildings almost all have AC as it's become standard procedure to have the AC kit installed and most people opt to add them. And traditional houses are made from a certain material mix that keeps them cool, even in scorching heat.

Anyway, if you can and don't mind covering your windows, you can tape over them with an aluminium cooking wrapper. It may sound silly, but it does keep the heat out if you lack any other option. Attached a pic with that I mean.

People used that shit back in the day so that the sun did not hit their tube TV's (the light would make it hard to see). That was the reason.

'utilizing censorship' is only bad if it means you are taking sides with Ben Shapiro.

If you are using it against a true enemy, it is good.

Edit: rate me autistic all you want, when you're listening to it you feel like someone is hitting pause on the podcast app every time Josh finishes a sentence.

I just think it's significant a free speech exchange here has more good skeptical than supportive arguments. It's not easy to get enthusiastic about it as a value. I'll defend it to embarrassing extremes when talking to normies, but have some private doubts regarding how realistic any of this is when barely anyone can make a decent case for it in 2021. And by decent case I don't mean Voltaire quotes in Baskerville Old Face.

"i disagree with what you say but i will defend with my life your right to say it!" only sounds nice as long as you can reasonably expect the other guy to do the same.
when the other guy instead goes with an approach like "i disagree with what you say so i will stomp your face into the dirt until you stop saying it" it loses all of its appeal.

imo this kind of distorted amplification of 1 radical political ideal can only exist because of tech companies curating the conversation and academia punishing anyone who steps out of line. it's a symptom of censorship, not of a permissive society that encouraged debate. any idea that censorship could benefit some other ideology instead of our current lunacy is still a faustian bargain.
