Depends on whether they actually want to put in the work. Modeling in particular is a tough business that requires long hours and a lifestyle commitment of maintaining your body. The idea that its an easy job is a myth. Ditto for Acting to a large extent, though that one is weird because of the perverse culture of Hollywood. The modeling industry however is centered around New York, London and Paris, and the agencies involved there are hard nosed capitalists that have zero time for shenanigans. It can be a very rewarding career for a young woman, provided she goes into it knowing it means work, not a free pass of leisure and unearned celebrity.

Sure you are not wrong, but how many of those "Im going to go in to acting/modeling" only to end up selling her body high off drugs for some fetish site or the like.
