The Alaska Democratic Party is now throwing its resources into promoting Drag Queen Storytime, an event that has been hosted multiple times for young children at the Loussac Library in Anchorage.

This time, the official political apparatus of the Democratic Party is partnering with local Drag Queen performers – Golden Delicious and Ivanna Read – to “read storybooks and sing songs to entertain the whole family.” The Facebook notice for the June 19 online event, states that the goal is to celebrate Pride Month.
Brooks Banker is one of the Drag Queen performers. He goes by the stage name “Golden Delicious,” and is a well-known entertainer in Anchorage’s gay bars. His Instagram account describes him as a “Genderqueer Queer Queen & Bearded Babe” and includes a Black Lives Matter fist with a transgender flag in the background. Banker has been one of the lead organizers behind past library Drag Queen events for toddlers and teens.

Local Drag Queen dancer Brooks Banker will perform for Alaska children on June 19.
“The Alaska Democratic Party is proud to host this event virtually so Alaskans across the state can now enjoy story time together,” the notice states. “Whether you are young or young at heart, this event is a safe space for everyone, filled with love, laughter, and lots of great books.”
In addition to providing sexualized children’s entertainment, Democrats are using the event to solicit donations for the Alaska Democratic Party so they can “continue to recruit candidates and elect leaders who support the Alaskan LGBTQ+ community, and to host future events like these!”
Drag Queen events targeting young children with shows featuring alternative sexual lifestyles has come under intense pressure over the past few year as the LGBTQ movement has focused its efforts on inculcating youth with its message. Anchorage has seen protests and signed petitions urging the Loussac Library to abandon the publicly sponsored events. The library has not held a Drag Queen Story Hour since 2019, but the Democratic Party has now taken the lead.

You have got to be kidding me. These strategists in the Democratic Party are fucking regarded retarded to be leaning into the culture war shenanigans. If the so called left in power had a spine they’d be spending their time fighting for actual issues like Medicare for all instead of cheap moralizing over idpol. Drag Queen story hour is such a non-issue and yet we keep hearing about it being propagated and thrust into the spotlight. If a tree falls in the woods do you hear it unless people choose to make a big deal about it. I don’t even care if people dress in drag but it is a bit of a weird thing to combine with kids I’m not going to lie as it tends to be seen as more adult performance for comedy and burlesque. If the left goes this way they’re going to look bad and lose among ordinary voters. I don’t know how they can’t see this from an optics perspective. Like I swear to god sometimes it seems like the democrats are a boxer that’s paid to take the fall in a fixed fight, they are so bad at advancing issues of real material value preferring to focus on easy woke wins.

Yes, the levels of perversion we've become tolerant of (even among many so-called "conservatives") is absolutely shocking when you compare it to 100 years ago. Degenerates like Blaire White are held up as beacons of truth just for not supporting Drag Queen Story Hour or children "transitioning", but he's a Trojan horse because he lulls people into tolerating his type of insanity, simply by not coming across as an immediate threat to women or children himself. It's all part of the slippery slope and we'd be much better off as a society if sexual deviants of every stripe--gay or straight--were shoved back in the closet, and sexuality in general was kept much more private.

The Democrats don't actually want to govern because that involves making hard choices. It's easier to just focus on culture war BS and pass off the "hard choices" to the Republican wing of the Uniparty (and then blame them when anything goes wrong). When Democrats govern and don't get the option of blaming Republicans, you get California, Portland, Detroit, Chicago, or the Biden presidency. They don't need to worry about the repercussions of this either since they mostly govern from safe seats thanks to captured voting blocks like blacks and in many states they can just happen to find a few boxes of ballots if they have a close race.

Democrats intentionally since Reagan have boxed out tough talking blue dog democrats who dominated the house and senate during the Reagan landslides. They want unification to a platform of the degenerate urban elite.

Republicans since Reagan have been corporate sell outs, who have been betrayed by the corporations they sucked off for the past 50 odd years. The more I encounter situations as described above, I am heavily reminded of watching wrassling with my father when young, unsure whether to suspend my disbelief and accept that the kayfabe was real.

I think it's the difference between drag acts and cross dressing as a lifestyle. One of the more famous drag acts in the UK was Lily Savage, a gay fellow by the name of Paul O'Grady. For him the drag was for work not for anything else and the majority of his career after he hung up the heels has just been him as his normal self doing a fairly extensive assortment of work. Now he might be a degenerate furry behind closed doors, based off Kiwi Farms it seems to be the norm, but the drag thing was something he did because it worked for him professionally and that he moved on from without feeling the need to slap out the makeup, enormous wig, high heels etc. every week or so.

Apparently he's not a fan of Drag Race and is of the opinion drag belongs in a bar but who knows, maybe he's bitter about missing the financial opportunity (the recording of the interview is down at the bottom of the article);

These days I imagine there's very few actual drag acts because the societal ass pats for cross dressing are so much more extensive. There'll still be some of them out there, most of them comedy performers, but you're less likely to stumble across them in the wilds of social media. At least in the English speaking parts of the world.
